Liberty City was better than Vice City

Liberty City was better than Vice City.

Yeah, in opposite land.

Yeah, in opposite land.

Yeah, in based land.

Yeah, in based land.

yeah, vice city was a quickly slapped together expansion pack they went overboard with.
Half of the first island is a useless beach that has a handful of hidden packages and an rc mission in it.

Nobody but VCfanbois denies this.

playing through vice city right now, these missions are pretty bad guys.

wtf i hate vice city now

>boat race mission
>just hold forward for a few minutes until you reach the one bend where it all comes down to if you get past the 2 boats in front of you or not
>literally all there is to the mission
It feels very old and basic.

lol no

>that mission where you have ti save lance from a junkyard or whatever and about ten cars chase you out of the place making your vehicle explode, so i had to do with with the flying car cheat
>those helicopter missons where brushing anything solid caused explosions
>that one where you have to plant bombs in a building site with people shooting at you

i loved vice city but jesus christ

>I'm bad at video games
Thanks for sharing, my dude.

the ps4 version is about 70 times easier than the original version

>that one where you have to plant bombs in a building site with people shooting at you
why do people always complain about this shit, it's so easy

because you get hit afew times and you blow up, it takes time to plant the bombs, you have no defense and the controls are awkward that's why.

it was, but no one here will admit that.

i love them both dearly but gta3 has this oppressive atmosphere that truly feels like being in NYC.

so cut up the guys with pistols with your rotors

Meh, they're less anoying than San Andreas's

Shoreside Vale was seriously lacking. Would've been enough with Stauton + Portland. Instead of Airport + Oversized Houses.

>not posting the actual best map

>that asset with the boat that had you jump over the boardwalk with a tiny ramp
>if you don't hit it spot on you land on the boardwalk and waste 3 minutes, probably die getting out of the boat as well
that and the motorcycle checkpoints across all those buildings for the porn studio were the only really annoying ones imo

what is this

It's so... Quiant, yet filled with entertaining content. I give Rockstar alot of shit but damn, they know how to pack a title with content.

oops wrong pic

Which GTA is that from?

Based

3 barely even looked like new york

its emulating the original version, genius

git gud

This looks like someone tried to make San Andreas from memory.

What the fuck is this

Jimmy Hopkins delivers

Exceptionally based and redpilled

I SMELL FREE FOOD

>trial and error gameplay
>law enforcement cheeses the physics engine
>98% of humor falls flat (applies to every single gta tho)
but what a soundtrack

I swear the city feels larger in game.

That stadium is retardedly large.

3 fit on a cd-r

yeah alright go and play the ps2 copy and get back to me

sounds like a reasonable request as opposed to the google search you would have to do to realize you're the idiot

>google search
i've played both versions of the game and the original game has more sensitive collision damage than the later releases, i don't care what your 10 second internet search has told you.

>you can literally look in the pkg file and see the md5 correct iso and emulator
>my subjective experience trumps objective facts

hey fucker explain what this is

>the game was edited to remove music because of licence expiration and haiti gang references
>''it's a one to one copy you can't make it harder for things to blow up''
you fucking dipshit

i don't care what your 10 second internet search has told you.

>''i also can't read''

lmao, pleb.

It hurts, lads

It's fan made, but nicely done.

>that mission where you have ti save lance from a junkyard or whatever and about ten cars chase you out of the place making your vehicle explode, so i had to do with with the flying car cheat
Just take the truck in the junkyard and plow through all those fucking cars
I am a zoomer who played Vice City for the first time this year and had no trouble with any missions beyond the antiquated as fuck saving method

After being intrigued by this argument I went and fired up the original PS2 version of the game and the current unmodified Steam version. Smashed cars around and spawned helicopters to slap against buildings to base myself entirely on "feel". The original PS2 release does seem to have more sensitive collisions than the current Steam release as far as how it feels. Crashing my helicopter into a building at full speed on the PS2 three times blew me up all 3 times. Doing so on the Steam release let me survive two out of three times. Car deformation also wasn't as sensitive on the Steam release.

Unironically based. Liberty City may be small and it's hills might just be made of 4 polygons, but Vice City's layout was so badly designed that it just felt like 5 roads and a few bridges.

>that fuckhuege ring at the top right
ok

holy fucking shit was the map really that small?

The stadium in San Andreas was also huge

> half the VC map is sand
> there's literally a road the spans the entire island
brainlet mapping decision, to say the least.
