It's not a horrible price, I'm just unsure if I'm willing to spend $20 on a couple games I've already put hundreds of hours into. If it goes on sale for like $15 week 1 I'll totally buy it though.

Its literally just a roster upgrade. TS has way more units and maps. TD is an objectively inferior and unnecessary after TS. That would be like wanting a remaster of an old madden game.

Red Alert 1 was a really enjoyable game and less forgiving than the latter games.

No, I did. That's why I know these two games specifically needed a lot more than just a very poor looking new coat of paint. C&C 1 and Red Alert 1 are ancient and feel like it to play. If you have played literally any RTS that followed them then they are painful to go back to.

Seriously and unironically now. It starts off as almost grounded in our world in the neat future with entirely mundane gear and just a hint of sci-fi shit with Tiberium in the first game.

Then the second game hits and you realize Tiberium wasn't just a plot device and that the main plot of the last game was completely unimportant compared to it. You see what it's doing to the world and things get more advanced and sci-fi, leading to a future-tech war between two sides that are tearing chunks off each other as the world gets more desperate.

Before finally going full post-apoc in the third game as the entire world collapses in on itself. And yet it still keeps that element of humanity in that most the problems and drama is caused by human action and flaws.

Three different games which are almost different genres in terms of their feel, with a single overarching plot that smooths one oh so naturally into the next without so much as a bump.

Fuck the fourth game though.
