You need to go up three floors total, which works out to beating four bosses and leaving on the fourth one. The game explains that when you get to it but that's the limit, and doesn't necessarily guarantee that the rarity will increase either. Also the level and + level gets increased based on the floor you leave at.

That's how they ruined it. They reworked and overbuffed it to the extent the dynamic between the three choices barely exists anymore. Because all you need to do is go into an attack to trigger it, along with the timing being more lenient it means it can handle any Burst Attack far too easily instead of being better for some and worse for others, and they removed it's ability to work on normal attacks and instead gave it a weird extra invincibility state that despite being too good feels terrible to use.

The frost odachi guy has it now. Seems to me like they're mixing Nioh 1 and 2 music because of low budget, but they also don't want to repeat the same mistake as last game where they reused boss music constantly. So far in the video, it seems like every boss has their own music.

obviously if ryumen sukuna has an old re-used theme now his theme from the beta would be used for a later boss. I'm kinda disappointed because it seems as though they intentionally made us think that more bosses would have unique themes in 2.

Their kunai throws are extremely heavily telegraphed and come with their own sounds user, and everything Okatsu does is even slower. Just block them and focus on Hanzo, parry or avoid Okatsu if she gets uppity, and create some distance if the floor becomes lava. Movement speed debuffs are a far cry from Sloth and you should be very thankful for that, it means you can still swing back. Hanzo doesn't have hyper armour so you can use low stance to interrupt and move up, and Okatsu only really has armour on her charge moves and she has no range otherwise.

To add to this, I get the feeling that they're counting on people not having played Nioh 1. If you've never played Nioh 1, you're not gonna notice the reused music/enemies because it'll all be new for you. If you did, then it's gonna be pretty obvious.

Watched the first bit of the cutscene video and I'm actually a little excited for the story in a Nioh game. I was 100% DGAF mode in the first one.

The story of Hideyoshi becoming the ruler of Japan starting from being a literal peasant is probably one of the more amazing things that happened in the whole Sengoku era.

He then hired a whole mess of homeless dudes, paid them in drugs and cheap liquor to rape the wife to death while he took pictures. He sent the fat packet of pictures to the guy who raped him in prison. The guy in prison killed a bunch of guards and broke out, running right home. The fat camera guy then tortured him to death for 2 or so days and had things done to him that "people still whisper about to this day"
