I think she's easy if you go ahead and do Hemwick before entering the the Cathedral to fight her, which is what I did. In that case, I had a very hard time fighting this bitch. She hits like a freight train and her regenerative ability made it so bullshit. But she does seem to be a DPS check, since you are encourage to explore the other areas in the game before proceeding with amelia.

This can't be true. I beat everything +DLC with the cane alone. My backup weapon changed depending on what I wanted to fuck around with, but the cane was for serious business. I eventually settled with the Chikage for backup, but rarely use it.
