Wow! How will they possibly outdo THPS5?
well not having to rush it out because of licensing would be a blessing
Hopefully it'll be good. There hasn't really been anything like the PS1 THPS games since then. But the series hasn't been good for over a decade, so it's hard to really give a shit about it.
neversoft is dead though
I dont really care
all it needs to be good
>no open world, just giant well designed levels
>keep the physics exactly the same as the PS2 era, dont overdo on flashy animations
>fun activities and well designed world challenges
This genre died with Skate. Just forget about it.
Please be good
It won't be.
>Skate 3 among the most played backwards compatible Xbox games
EA could make bank by making a new one but they are too fixated on milking FIFA/NFS/Star Wars
What developer would you trust to make a great Tony Hawk game?
>the twitter post
>of a twitter post
>of a screenshot of
>the actual source confirming a Tony Hawk 2020 game
FUCK OFF OP.
Skater XL and Session are pretty alright for early access.
a indie studio comprised of ex Neversoft staff
Nintendo love mechanics heavy games like that with pure gameplay cores that can go on for seemingly forever, and without much fluff surrounding the gameplay.
You skate. And then you've got an aestethic/music on top. And that's the game.
Post songs you want to see in Tony Hawk

Neversoft with an actual budget and without Activision's pressure
Insomniac
Who will be the console exclusive character in the Switch version?
The genre was revived with Skate you mean. Skate 4 fucking when
Samus. it's revealed to be her Prime 4 suit/look
Is no one else gonna point out how the band might get their music taken out for obviously breaking an NDA.
SEGA
you just know it would be BOTW Link
I've been playing it on backwards compat it's amazing fun.
The deathraces are such fucking random bullshit but it still feels fun, there's a different outcome every time. WEBM related: all of the comps crashed into each other at the starting line giving me a free win
I would not trust SEGA at all with anything.
If they licensed five songs from one artist they're probably desperate for cheap licensing deals and aren't going to bother twisting their wrist.
>Neversoft melted into the Infinity Ward team
It's a rip, squid
a low budget would help this game, little publisher interferance
Makes sense, with his skateboard being the Hylian Shield
Raven software being chained to COD hurts most
>Make Hexen, Heretic and Jedi Knight in your heyday
>now stuck making maps and MTX garbage
I have extremely low expectations
Really wish 2 was backwards compatible.
3 is good but 2 had some of the best locations and physics
You had no reason to include that shitty Mob avatar in the screencap, but you did it anyway.
I never liked the rail balance minigame
Yeah the 2 is map is way better for sure. 3 makes up for it with the park builder though
I wishlisted this on steam, release when?!
when it gets enough wish lists on steam to get put in a special spot during release
>Madam
what was this called again?
wave break
ty
Okay, but who is the literally who in your twitter screencap?
SO HERE I AM
inb4 its some mobile trash
Imagine being so autistic you focus on the source of the image rather than the information contained in it
>THUG 3 never ever
Why live senpai
>tfw make custom playlists of music when playing THPS/Skate and always put in Death Set songs
i'd be upset

Splatoon spinoff.

Shit
There better be a fucking Billy Talent song

Why did the arcade sports genre die? We had Pro Skater, SSX, Jet Set Radio, arcade racing games like Burnout, FlatOut and Trackmania, tons of amazing shit overall. Where did it all go?
pretty sure Tony Hawk put out a dogshit phone game a while back without the Pro Skater license so I can't say just having his name attached, nevermind how there's only like two good games in the franchise after 2001, so I can't say having his name alone is a seal of quality.
Either way I will be keeping my eyes on it.
They became indie titles except for Forza. People see them as minigames part of a major game rather than a full game on their own. That's what I would argue anyway.
They get burried under AAA releases and never heard about.
Just with google, I found three snowboarding games on steam. Some are better than others I'm sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if you haven't heard of them (because I know I haven't lol)

The mid 00 to the 10’s there was a huge push to make everything as realistic as possible and anything that wasn’t realistic was mostly pushed as kid related.
Most publishers don’t do games like that anymore as they believe it doesn’t sell, however it looks like it’s slowly coming back as the Crash remake was huge and indie games are getting more attention.
If the soundtrack have more than 30% of nigger music im not buying
From Software or Platinum
If you guys like skating games so much then why don't you actually skate irl
Steep was a pretty big release at the time. Everyone just forgot about it though.
I’m not a faggot lol
What skaters would you guys wanna see in it? You guys do actually care about skating, right?
anyways
>kevin bradley
>nakel smith
>tyshawn jones
>earl sweatshirt guest appearance
>chris joslin
>deedz
>sage elsesser
>be kid, think skating is cool
>practice riding around my neighborhood
>some kids open the window to their room and laugh at me
>continue anyway, i've already been cemented as a social outcast anyway
>get extremely sick
>extreme arthritis, immune system attacking itself, comiting blood
>just "happened" to start 2 weeks after I started skating
>lasts for years
>it finally all goes away
>scared to get on another skateboard in fear of getting whatever ebolaids attacked me the first time
That's why I don't skate in real life.
Steep was a major release, especially when that woman died filming a commercial for it. Problem is it lost all its hype as soon as it came out even though the beta was liked by a lot of people. They did a rerelease with the Olympics DLC, did a partnership with X-Games, and then there's been no more DLC since despite them still keeping up events for items hosted by the devs (Which isn't automated, it's manually done).
Agreed, unless the soundtrack is comprised entirely of Lithuanian, Uzbekistanian and Basque country music I have no interest.
