Literally every game since Galaxy in 2007 has been forgotten, nobody gives a shit about the franchise anymore. They are rehashing the same trash every time, at least Zelda completely changed the entire foundation of the franchise with BOTW which completely divided the fanbase, Mario rehashes the same bullshit every game. Mario Odyssey was the worst entry in the franchise & such a flop that we haven't' heard anything on a new mainline game. It should honestly die right now & simply focus on Spin-offs

If Nintendo were to make a game very like Mario, but with different characters, story (or a story at all), athmosphere and whatnot, they could make something great for another demographic.
