I had a friend too. Best friend. We were gread buddies for like 12 years too. But something happened to him while I was away and he lost his head. He also tried to fight me for some stupid reason. As you can imagine, we are not friends anymore. Shit happens, you can't save people if they don't want to be saved.

Maybe use some examples in a way that also doesn't make it looks like you are "insulting his intelligence", else he might get angry with you instead. I'm assuming he is a bit of a monkey for falling for gacha, that's why I mention you have to avoid becoming his "enemy".
