Does giving money to other factions actually do anything? I'm playing as the Julii and giving money to the Carthaginians seems to make them hold out longer.

It was called "Gaulic Red" because it started out as white until you coloured it in yourself. Took about 10 Gauls to make one tunic.

Ive tried multiple ways to blow some monetary lifeforce into the Seleucids among others, but its no use, they always die. Always.

Pretty sure its running as well as it can run. If youre referring to the input lag when fielding big armies, thats the engine itself bottlenecking. Otherwise I dont know what youre referring to, the game runs fine for me

Alexader wanted Greeks to mix with Pesians and create a mutt race, that's probably why he got in conflict with Aristotle.

Nah not input lag, I get really bad framerates on it for some reason. Nothing I do seems to fix it.
It's especially frustrating cause a game that old should run on a fucking toaster

Your first play through they give you the easy units so you know how to control them but also their weaknesses so when you play as another faction you know how to handle Rom*ns

Yeah I don't actually know if it does anything or not. Carthage is the only faction I've seen obvious results with but they still lose Sicily easily.
