I hope it's not harder than blind forest. I fucking loved it, but i suck at platformers-like games and blind forest was one of the few games i actually managed to finish(for example, i got filtered by bloodstained at 75%)

With Cuphead and Ori both being surprisingly good games Xbox might actually end up finding some identity yet. I don't mind sharing with PCbros either. The more people who get to enjoy games I like the more games like it will be made.

There are crutch upgrades to help make things easier, and easy mode if those aren't enough

Ori might be the prettiest game I've ever seen. I don't know how it plays but this might be the perfect combination of graphical fidelity and soul ever made.

I consider Hollow Knight in my top 3 favorite games, but Ori I find has inconsistent platforming, is linear, has poor combat and doesn't do much new, and the game although pretty doesn't have a lot of distinction between zones, they all kind of blur into one
it's good, just not HK level, although WotW does look much better in all areas

Ori is a pretty game, but that's it. The combat and movement are subpar in comparison to the perfection Australians have achieved. It's also incredibly short and left me feeling like i got ripped off compared to HK which was not only cheaper, but provided 5x the amount of gameplay. I really couldn't have asked for a better deal.

It's weird but I actually had problems with the first game in this regard. It got so bright and flashy sometimes that it was hard to tell what the fuck was happening, especially once projectile and XP colors started clashing with each other in Mount Horu

The first game's theme was saving a forest, guided by a tree of bright shiny life-giving energy, voiced by a jew. Does that answer your question?
