I spent like 20 hours straight modding a game a few days ago staying up til 12 in the morning and it still wasn't where I wanted it to be and couldnt bring myself to keep working on it when I woke up. Mods are good though.

Is it even worth it downloading mods on skyrim anymore? I had to get a new pc and its so tedious since my last hard drive broke so I have to manually get all these fucking required mods and sorting applications. I just want to mod for gods sake!!

Modding a game can significantly increases the replay value of a game. I think every game should be played as is first tho, and play with mods afterwards.

Depends on the game. What modding communities can do for games like Oblivion and Mount & Blade can be very impressive, and for games like Doom it's the goddamn lifeblood. Sometimes a game is modded albeit with not that much content, but it's a nice bonus when someone puts that to good use. But for others like say Monster Hunter World it's almost all complete fucking garbage frontloaded with vanity and cheat mods that defeat the purpose of the game.

probably one of the best things to happen for games, ive ended up with hundreds of hours in vidya I probably wouldn't have played for more than 30 hours before getting bored of without mods. and when you learn how to work under the hood and mod the game yourself and set up your OWN shit? that feel is so fucking good

To be fair, modding makes a good green flag for games
If a game comes out and the developers insist that we don't change the game, it's a massive red flag. With the exception of MMORPGs and competitive games, but both of those genres are already massive red flags to begin with.

Even if I have no intention of modding a game, seeing that I'm allowed can win me over because it means the devs will never ever be able to force phone game bullshit on you.

PC master race and the GTA franchise would be nothing without modders. I'll never forgive Kikestar and Take Jew Interactive for stabbing the mod community in the back with GTA V. Anyway, I'm guessing you made that picture and I just wanted to say you're a faggot. I do some mod work but not as much as I'd like. I don't mod a game unless people recommend it and if I feel the game needs to be modded. Project Zomboid would be an unplayable mess without mods adding more features and content. But yeah, I usually don't buy games that don't support mods - but then again, I hardly buy games at all anymore since most of them are garbage anyway.

The only mods I use are in the binding of isaac because for some fucking reason the items don't tell you what they do. Also another one that lists all the items you've gotten instead of the last eight.

Unless it's a patch mod that fixes major bugs or a total conversion that is pretty much a whole new game, i don't like them. It's creates a culture where people chase numbers like fps ir more particle effects and don't pay attention to the actual videogame. It creates people who don't know how to appreacite a variaty in art.
