Durarara is very good but the novelty of Baccano being one of the very few anime set in 1930s America is a lot more appealing. Granted Durarara centering around a Celtic mythological being and later bringing in a bunch of cool Russians is certainly unique in its own way. Durarara also has the advantage of actually having a complete anime adaptation whereas Baccano only covered the early stuff, but that's less of a problem now that the Baccano novels are fully translated. I also like Katsumi Enami's art style way more than the Durarara artist, whose name I used to know but I don't remember anymore. Although that artist is still a good artist and did the art for the Devil Survivor games as well.

Already played both in 2017/2018, Geofront is so late that it literally doesn't matter anymore.

Any true Kiseki fan would've played the rough PC fan translations that came out 2 years ago and would've played CS3 on PS4 last October if not the JP release using the spread sheat. Unless they're too cheap to own a PS4. They'll either be more concerned about when the hell CS4 is releasing or were planning to support falcom by buying these releases anyway.

The current zero/ao translation isn't machine translated, it's just a more literal human translation is some part and a few typos because it wasn't heavily edited.

The current translation really isn't that bad. I was expecting machine tier quality too but aside from being a little awkward at times due to translating some things literally and a few typos, it was perfectly playable. Makes me wonder why it took Geofront so long when they had a solid base to work with.

Was Geofront actually using it as a base or were they doing their own from scratch? Still a translation like this can take a long time because it's possible to do a translation that "looks fine" grammatically but actually gets the lines completely wrong, like both translations for Cross Channel.

I don't care about any of this bullshit but I want to take this opportunity to complain that cokesakto's translation of the Kara no Kyoukai novels is fucking garbage. It is the most annoying kind of translation I have ever seen, where he obviously started from a position of translating it faithfully but apparently fancies himself to be a writer because he constantly inserts stuff that he completely made up that is nowhere to be found in the original novels, as well as changing all the established terms into his own stupid bullshit. Fucking makes me seethe that there is an ostensibly "complete" translation of the novels and it is something that completely ruined them like this. And this is the only option because the official translation picked up the project, released one book, and then immediately dropped it. Anyway, apparently the guy tried to stick his nose in the translation of FHA and they told him to fuck off, so I take some small satisfaction in that. None of this remotely has anything to do with Trails but I saw an opportunity to complain so I took it.

This is the case with most official game localizations. Hell, Trails games are full of rewrites and unnecessary additions, especially the 3rd and CS1-2 (can't say anything about 3 yet, I've only played it in Japanese and never wached any trailers or playthrough).
