The story and writing in the original game was really clichè and unengaging, I was never invested in the characters, the lore or the world, it all felt by the numbers. I really hope they deliver on that front.

That's a PoE Deadfire problem, Kingmaker's TB works near-perfectly because like most of RTwP games, the RTwP system is just brute forcing turn-based mechanics into real time, so reverse engineering it is easy and works well. PoE Deadfire's turn based mode is a trainwreck because it uses a real-time ruleset Obsidian made themselves. Forgotten Realms games and Pathfinder games use the D&D/ Pathfinder turn-based rulesets.

Any alignment can become any path. But becoming a path will cause an alignment shift. Apparently it is a whole quest series of actions you need to take to become one.

I assume that the entire first act of the game will be getting to your mythic path.

Not sure. They did say some paths are found later in the game than others.

They aren't going to tie anything to alignment. But they're not going to flesh every alignment out for every mythic. For example, a CE demon will always stay close to the starting alignment in the choices offered. Maybe you will have a few neutral-ish choices here and there but that's it - there won't be LG demon content.

Keep in mind that tranny shit in Pathfinder (or, hell, DnD) is basically just "a wizard did it" and they biologically become whatever gender they decide to be.

It's your character. The choices you make to become a lich they said will push your alignment off of good.

So I just got to the House at the End of Time last night, loaded from my last save right before the portal, and was working on finishing up some quests. I found and killed Ilthuliak, and then I killed Farnissas(?) the Lich and now I'm gonna go knock out the Captor/Captive in the Depths.
I'm only 18 across my party so I doubt I'm getting to 20, am I? Or at least, outside the House so I could possibly go on to complete the full Depths.
