Anyone else feel this way? Ever since I made a switch from console to PC it got worse. Or I've drained my dopamine to extremely low levels.
PC Gaming Is Depressing

>"Hey guys since I moved from 20 FPS to 100 I got depressed"
sounds like you should just kill yourself, I think. It's terminal.
PC's full of cheaters.
This image is a piece of shit and you know it. You can get a controller for 40 bucks and a ps4 for 300. This is comparable to saying PC gaming is shit from a dog's anus because the top of the line Mac Pro costs 50 thousand dollars. You are either a child or a moron. Please educate yourself before you continue to fuck up.
Maybe you should be doing something with your time besides consuming media and playing vidya instead of acting like it's your computer's fault?
You are depressed in the first place, faggot.
>Anyone else feel this way?
no
>I'm depressed so it's clearly the fault of my gaming platform
Yas Forums - Cognitive Dissonance
but it's ok when consoletards compare their 10 year old console with a new top of the line PC and claim that it costs $30,000 to get started with PC gaming
Pc is pure freedom fuck your depression.

Completely ignoring the fact that there is no more support to a game after 12 days passed
some genres are better on console (action/adventure, fightan, drivan)
some genres are better on pc (strategy, rpg, shootan)
you are probably using the wrong tool for the job
think it has something to do with insomnia, gaming for multiple day in a row without sleeping
No? As long as at the very least the game works on stable 60 FPS everything is a-okay. It's neat having a gaming machine that you can use for other hobbies as well.
My computer isn't the cause of my problems.
sounds like you're just depressed.
Maybe stop forcing yourself to play games and do something you want to instead, the harder you push yourself, the more you'll hate games.
can you cite a single logical reason to connect this feeling with 'PC gaming', or are you just meme'ing
You almost had the right idea. You instead wanted to use controller/keyboard instead of console/pc
>doesn't take basic care of his health
>blames gaming platform for feeling bad
Can't say that I do, Tim.
youtube.com
>(76th percentile). This means that out of 100 PCs with exactly the same components, 24 performed better.
How do PCs with the same exact components perform differently? This website is dumb
I don't know if insomnia is something you can just take care of.
That doesn't look right in big resolutions
Fighting games are now objectively better on PC due to modders figuring out how to fix shit netcode. Plus fightcade.
those filters hurt my eyes, it looks like blurry shit, gross.
You wouldn't understand it, mongoloid.
I hear you user but I meant what I said. Sitting at my desk with my arcade stick feels less comfortable than sitting on my sofa with my fight stick. Both experiences are absolute shit compared to standing up at a cab, though.
Also, genres aimed at consoles tend to be slower paced, when I'm at my desk I'm expecting to be doing high-apm things, I get less absorbed in the world and the story because of the mindset I have when I am playing games on my PC.
I just prefer to keep the two worlds separate -- to the extent that I built an ITX setup to play Fightcade stuff on my couch. The only time I break this parallel setup is when the console version of a game is absolutely shit with it's optimisation. But I don't play many console games anyway so there's that
>he isn't able to plug up his rig in front of the sofa
Mommy and daddy cramping your style, huh
You weren't supposed to bring that up....
On one hand I get that feeling, on the other hand you can also just buy longer HDMI and set your PC to your TV
The computer enabled all this.
Even the most sedentary of monks hundreds of years ago were less lost to the physical world than the average millenial.
I like to compete at my locals. They run PS4 setups. So I have to use a PS4 compatible stick, this is problem number one. Number two devs don't give a fuck about modding fixes into their netcode, if they don't do it themselves they will patch out the fix (SFV). Number three, a fixed point of reference for game performance helps you stay competitive. I don't know if you remember but SF4 was so poorly constructed that the PS3 version actually played differently than the 360 version on fps drop problems alone. The more parity I can achieve with the community I play with the easier it will be to translate the home practice sesshes into the folk I play with in my scene. Then there are the fighters for current gen consoles that either don't get released on PC at all, have no crossplay so you're stuck playing against absolute bads all the time, or again, function differently simply due to the engine and the throughput of a PC.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not shitting on your approach, just saying it creates hurdles for me when I really just want to press a button and do the same thing I did at the event at home and vice versa.
It's called trazodone
Please try me and tell me how two machines with the same parts differ in performance. And then go ahead and tell me how that would be a reliable statistic.
>to the extent that I built an ITX setup
I know it's early in the morning guise but c'mon, reading comprehension
Shit, sorry user. Been multitasking.
Then go be a monk. Or at least go on a walk.
Wrong. All genres are better on pc.
heavy rain would have been 4x as shit if it was on pc
PS4 sticks work on PS natively now. Mine does, at least.
There's quite literally no genre that PC isn't the best at especially fighting/action and driving games. Inputs on a mechanical KB are as good as any fightstick. WASD digital input is better and more accurate for movement in action/adventure. Driving games have always been hampered by consoles and that only might not be true starting next-gen. Plus you can always just plug in any controller for anything you want. The only thing PC isn't better for is maintaining the security of online games.
Right you are user, and I know. If I were to play fightans on PC I'd use a Madcatz TE Rd 2, great buttons, great spacing, perfect weight for my lap at my desk. Problem is this is a PS3 stick. So I'd have to use a PS4 one. Money isn't really an issue so I'd build one to the weight specifications of a TE, bypassing the 'PS4 only' problem, however now that I have a stick that is good for me at my desk, I have a stick that feels slightly less comfortable when I am at one of these ramshackle setups that are often at tourneys. So I either have to lump it and just bear the difference in comfort (and anyone who has competed for anything ever will tell you comfort is super dooper important) or I have to have a second stick for tourneys, meaning there is a disparity in my muscle memory between my two sticks. I'm a grown ass man with responsibilities, I can't up the amount of time I have to lab by 1.3x just to do what I was doing before. I like to play other games, I like to fuck my wife, I like to take my daughter and my dog to the park, I have work to do.
Sometimes occams razor is the best way. Why would I spend all this time trying to achieve what I already had -- for internet points in the 'PC master race' community? I'm an idort, and we stopped minting internets a while ago
Again, if you have the time and it fits your style, go for it. To you your religion, and to me mine.
overclocking and thermals
My friend wants to just chat on discord or for me to watch him play on stream. Discord enhances guild drama faggotry. Should I get Golf with Friends to play with my nephew?
There are still minor differences in each component produced..
So that percentile shown isn't actually a distribution of generally other PCs to show you where in the average you are, but instead it shows you where you lie compared to people who have the same exact components but some OCd them? How is this useful or even usable information?
Those should be negligible and even if they are significant enough, how is that relevant information? Are you just gonna buy the same parts again, hoping you get a 99th percentile 1080 instead of your 89th percentile 1080?
Man, COLLISION CHADS was my favourite level
>So that percentile shown isn't actually a distribution of generally other PCs to show you where in the average you are, but instead it shows you where you lie compared to people who have the same exact components but some OCd them?
It shows both
>How is this useful or even usable information?
You can see if your components are performing like they are supposed to
there's no difference between console and pc gaming. ever since you have to install, patch and pay for onilne, it went downhill.
if you are looking for the good old 'console'-gaming feel, take a look at ps2 and earlier.
Ah I get it now, cheers patient user
Anyone know how flopperinos translate to PC general pc specs? Don't really know how I'm supposed to interpret these next-gen console reveals.
>zoomer plays mainstream triple-A """"""games"""""" only on his 9000k$ machine
>depressed
Imagine my shock
It's probably because you've been drinking lots of caffeine, which causes dips depressive anxiety build-up.
lots of flops=mid tier pc
>gaming on the computer
>working on the computer
>reading on the computer
>socializing through the computer
>ejaculating through the computer
>watching on the computer
What the fuck do you think?
self-insert politics propaganda in 99.9% of AAA vidya is tiring af.
I want more games to provide powertrip gratification moments, not reflect on how shit is protag or how powerless he is against all the evil in the world.
>ejaculating through the computer
Damn son
