Absolutely nothing beats sitting back on the sofa gaming in 4K HDR on a nice big tv, especially an OLED tv if you can afford it. And PC gaming at a proper desk and a comfy chair is excellent too, both are preferable to handheld.

my female friends who play league and overwatch all have switches and play shit like my time at portia, stardew, and soon animal crossing on it. Pokemon too, for a couple.
I just don't have an interest in a switch.
But, I still play my vita pretty often. Handheld gaming is alright, but if I'm just out and about, frankly, I'll use my phone. I got over "wahhh touch screen control" way faster than I thought I would, and I'm rarely playing anything longer than 5 minutes at a time so it's mostly JRPGs that don't require high levels of precision. Although I did play and beat hagane on my phone, that was a wild few weeks.
