I swear, every time I bring a girl home, I make sure to clean everything up in my room and take special care to ensure that my HD800S are prominently on display, hooked up and ready to go with my Schiit stack. But then when we get into my room, she just pushes me to the bed and starts making out with me right away. Like, did you not notice the Senns? I didn't bring you here to make out. I want you to experience the crispy highs, the tight lows, and the clear mids. I bet they sound way better than your scoff airpods. Trust me, you havent experienced true pleasure until you try the - wait where are you going?
I use the 280. It's cheaper but still good
I've been using my 598s since like 2012 when destiny shilled them to me, bought 2 pairs of new pads for christmas.
598s were 100 bucks a few years ago on black friday
Had these for 5 years now, work great, no problems at all.
Cost $150
I have those, they're nice. Also not $300, I think I got mine for ~$150.
If you want some pretty high tech ones you should get audio-technica.
The 6XXs are cheap, but sound really great. I use them daily.
>If you want some pretty high tech ones you should get audio-technica.
Okay, some high fidelity, whatever, shut up, I'll suck your dick.
>Wasting your money on overpriced bullshit
Just get some cheap pieces of shit like these for like five bucks each.
Get speakers if you can. Otherwise just get these like a normal person: IMO, from having spent a lot of money and time searching for headphones, none of it really makes a difference for video games.
I'm a wannabe music producer so it's okay for me to waste money on expensive headphones imo.
they last you a long time stupid cheap retard
Superlux hd-681s work fine for my pleb ears and are reasonably priced
Audio Technica make products for engineers and normalfags. I wouldn't even be surprised if only their flagship headphones can beat the HD58X, their more popular ones like the M50Xs sure as fuck don't
ath-m50x
I'm still using my ATH AD700. I love them.
>not the one with swapable color plates
pleb
Get an HD 58x or SHP9500 for open, AKG 361/371 for closed. What's the problem? All the options there are affordable and punch well above their price point. The only thing holding them back is, ironically enough the price. Audioretards think that cheap = shit.
Those are the ones I was looking for, I just couldn't find one in my thirty second image search.
found it
*sip*
What speakers would you recommend.
I'm rocking some like.. $40 Wal-mart speakers with a sub and they're doing much better than I thought it would. Is it worth upgrading to something else?
let me guess, it's this set lol. Can't believe they still make them even though they are really good for the price.
This is the sennheiser HD25.
>Schiit stack
>on hd800s
>3dpdfag
>slutfag
>normalfag
and everything the above
I got the HD 599SE for $99 at the end of last year. The fuck you paying $300 for that?
>open
>wanting to hear pc fans rev up, traffic outside, or people talking
chad
X2s. 150 dollars now.
Nope. Walmart Brand BlackWeb speakers. Has a nice volume knob to turn so I really like that
>>wanting to hear pc fans rev up, traffic outside, or people talking
>not living in a quiet place/world
dumb neet who lives with his parents, I don't have any of those issues. You probably don't even own a good pair of speakers because you're afraid of waking up your parents
I wish they were a bit bigger, I have some big ears so they sit very slightly on them instead of over them and shit gets uncomfortable over long periods of time.
>has good speakers
>uses open headphones instead
Open headphones are objectively better.
u wear them to live shows and ask the sound guy to plug em in for you?
Headphones fucking suck, they give me migraines. Plus the sound space of an actual speaker setup just sounds so much fucking better, why would you ever use headphones at home? You dont even need super expensive speakers, I've got a pair of kef q150's and they're fantastic
The only time I use headphones is when I'm at work or jogging, and you're not going to bring a heavy pair of expensive cans to run. For that I use prota pros
>why would you ever use headphones at home?
I'm a night owl and I don't wanna wake my family. Also you can't hear where the enemy is coming from with speakers ya goof.
>You dont even need super expensive speakers, I've got a a $600 pair
>you can't hear where the enemy is coming from with speakers
do you even 5.1?
>being a stereo cuck
There are perfectly good headphones on Amazon for 50 bucks. Stop buying the label you simp
>he doesn't spend $1,000 on audio equipment to be the ultimate gamer
why did you coom on your headphones?
because they sound so good
not sure what you're talking about though
>650s
>$1000
i take it you didn't notice the dac in the background
yes i did notice the shitty topping
>googles dac
>digital to analog converter
what? sounds like god damn placebo.
are you fucking retarded?
Been using these. Mic is a bit on the shitty side, but they're otherwise great. You can get them for $80 off Amazon these days.
has lasted me 10years so far.
has to be bait
lol i see it too, zoomed out. but zoomed in u can tell its just the speaker underneath combined with a couple of blemishes or reflections on the grill
yeah dont know what those things do just get an amp
whatever you do just don't buy "GAYmer" headphones, they're trash
Logitech headsets are garbage. Had 2 logitech g430 because i liked them but both broke on the same place.
>not getting sennheiser
ok poorfag cuck
any recommendations for upgrading from hd598?
I bought these for $130 four years ago.
I've got these after having xb500 for years, at first it was hard to tell where the fuck steps are coming from, they probably have shit sound stage
I've had them for nearly 6 years and had to replace the pads due to them flaking off and leaving black specks on everything they touch. Same for the headband.
I've tried a variety of other headphones and the M50s are just not great headphones for casual listening, there is FAR better out there. They're also not that comfortable for long periods. These headphones aren't a total meme, but people buy them for the wrong purpose. They work better as studio monitors.
good audio equipment costs good money. if you're just connecting your headphones to your computer's on-board sound card, there's no reason to buy a $300 pair of headphones though, because all it will do is let you hear the sub-par DAC at work. just buy portapros or some meme logitech headset and be done with it.
no need to go full audiophile retard, but expect to put down a couple of hundred dollars if you care about good sound.
fuck portapros, the sound is great but they're such flimsy pieces of shit that i can't be assed to bother with them after going through 2-3 pairs without even being rough
of course, some of the best bass cans out there.
