blizzard isn't nearly creative enough to reuse their characters in a way that interesting. you'll get arthas punching kaelthas in the fairy forest in the intro quest and then they'll be reputation vendors

WoW at it's lowest is better than XIV, XIV's core gameplay just isn't as good because it's designed to play smoothly on Consoles & that comes with a almost 3 second GCD

Though i feel Activision wants a Console release of WoW & Blizzard has been pruning classes & added a GCD too, so WoW could be losing it's big advantage

As someone who was finally able to break my WoW addiction of a decade due to how utterly horrible BfA was, I doubt it.

FFXIV has its own plethora of problems, but as a whole the products have a lot more love put into them. Whether that's because of Japanese work ethics or just because Blizzard has become a dumpster fire company run by people who don't even play games, or maybe even both reasons, it's just a simple fact. FFXIV has some soul. WoW has become utterly soulless in recent years.

have you actually played wow or xiv? samurai has a 2 second gcd with optimal skill speed and if you get fucked on haste gear in wow your gcd is just as long. then you have specs like arms warrior that get to hit one button every 5 seconds because every move has a cd for some reason and other classes like unholy where you have a 2 button rotation preceded by 16 set up moves that are on the gcd. every class in xiv has nearly half their kit off the gcd so even with "muh 3 seconds" you're still hitting more buttons more often than most wow specs
