I mean...at least it has good games right? They wouldn't just shit this thing out with no killer games to play right?

What's with Yas Forums's current obsession? Is it half life?
seethe harder vrlet
Seriously though the quest is fine if you're not an autist.
Oculus Quest's library is incredibly small and expensive.
If you get a link cable or have a wireless router you can play every VR game including everything on Steam.
You expect someone who bought the quest to have a strong enough PC to use oculus link? Wouldn't they just already have a VR headset by that point?
I have PSVR, have like all the compatible games, but I literally just play Beat Saber now.
When the FUCK are they going to make a mech game? That’s the excuse I need to buy one of these things and they won’t do it, the fleshy bastards.
user no one wants to make games for VR they wanna make 2 hour "experiences" they can charge 40-50$ for
There's Vox Machinae and Piranha said they want to add vr support to Mechwarrior 5
This. I already own an S.
Shogo remake for vr where you can manually enter and exit the mecha when?????
I figured this was over Half Life coming out.
I chose the Quest over everything else. Being untethered is amazing and its a lot better than dropping 1k on an Index.
What does that have to do with what I said?
>Being untethered is amazing
Isn't this point kind of made moot by the fact that it has no games? And that you have to tether it to your PC to access actual games?
Move along everybody this is a thinly veiled Index shill thread.
It does have games, you can also play wirelessly.
kys faggot literally no one is shilling goddamn you to hell
Ive heard it has low framerate and is kind of wonky when streaming pc games through it though.
I once tried using my gear vr with my galaxy s8 with my pc and got like 15 fps even when i was just looking at my desktop remotely.
>Hawken was going to have VR support, but the dev died
>No one tried since
Why even live..
>Vox Machinae
>it's multiplayer only with no singleplayer campaign and only a shitty skirmish mode
It really depends on a lot of things like your PC's power, your device (phone's) power, and your settings.
In my situation when i was looking up on what I wanted to buy for a VR headset I was between the Index and Quest. I am glad I went with Quest because you get so many options with how to play things. I also don't play many games frequently because 99% of all 'games' that exists for the headsets are first person action 'experiences' that play like tech demos. Glad I didnt put another $600 into the Index for a mostly worse experience.
Don't have a strong gaming PC should I buy the quest to see if I like VR or PSVR?
Probably PSVR. I've read that there are a lot of good games on it considering its price point.
Ive had my Quest since November and they maybe have added like 7 games since then to their 40 game library.
Definitely PSVR, better game selection. Even if the controllers are kinda ass.
Is Remote Desktop better than ALVR?
Is there a cracked version of Remote Desktop?
How do you allow storage for sideloaded games?
It really depends on a few factors
I use ALVR and it works great, never needed to try remote desktop.
I am sure there is but you need to know the right place to look.
Have you done the setup for SideQuest yet?
haha y-yeah VR has a lot of great games like uh... bow and arrow game 46 and teleport + shoot 6, and uhhhh.... beat saber? i guess
Why would you buy this shit when all the good games are on PC, and the Quest is worse at PC VR... So you can play shitty mobile games with horrible graphics as well, who gives a shit.
I tried VRChat in ALVR on my Quest a few times and the controls are pretty wonky.
The tracking would periodically shit the bed and the camera would sometimes just pan in another direction.
Strangely enough, Google Earth VR works fine.
I'm pretty sure it's not my internet.
What settings are you using?
I've done the setup and all my games are side-loaded.
For example, in Pistol Whip I would like to save the gun skin, but I can't enable storage the way I would do it for non-pirated apps.
Are there any good dnd type experiences for VR yet?
quest is a good PCVR headset with backstrap padding for comfort and Oculus Link
Its the only option in the 400-500$ price range if your IPD doesn't suit the Rift S
Not being tethered is amazing
cope
I have the same problem when I play Pistol Whip. It may be because I have an older version? Not sure about the storage problem.
Get drunk and roleplay for 10 minutes in Blade and Sorcery every few months.
PSVR
>Beat Saber
>Wipeout Omega Collection
>Arizona Sunshine
>Farpoint
>Superhot VR
>Tetris Effect
>Ace Combat 7 (3 missions)
Resident Evil 7 is exclusive too.
Having an AAA developed with VR in mind is incredibly rare and worth checking out.
ah didn't realize that. It came with the bundle I got my PSVR with, but I didn't know it was exclusive. Stressful shit though, could only play for like an hour at a time.
if you have any interest in porn at all I'd say Quest, otherwise PSVR is good. Everybody's Golf VR is excellent. I bought an Odyssey+ about a month ago and haven't touched a flat game or my PSVR since so you may want to consider that to play some very basic shit while you slowly upgrade your computer
I was thinking that through a lot of work it may be possible to configure/rig it to work on PC. But natively it is exclusively PSVR.
>Everybody's Golf VR is excellent.
this also came in my PSVR bundle and I can concur. The caddies are fucking infuriating though
>spend 5 minutes lining up putt
>...
>about to swing
>"MAYBE YOU SHOULD PRACTICE MORE"
psvr is shit
I thought this was a masterstroke by Zuck but now I'm not so sure. It has no worthwhile exclusives to speak with, the store is anemic and slow to get new titles, the games look like dogshit compared to PCVR or even PSVR. And he ruined the walled garden idea by allowing Quest Link which also saw Carmack depart in suspicious circumstances around the same time.
Meanwhile, Valve grows stronger.
>manually enter and exit the mecha
God that'd be a fucking dream
Being able to enter/exit vehicles in Subnautica just feel so amazing, and that game isn't even made for VR.
the game itself is jank-central, but grabbing the release bars of the cockpit with the move controllers to get out of your ship in NMS is kind of cool
>t. fatass
I need to get back to that, last time I tried I pulled a really fucking shitty starting planet and couldn't even scrape together the fuel to escape because the sentinels had a real fucking problem with me
>move controllers
Man, I actually like some of the PSVR exclusives but the tracking on it is worse than even the WMR headsets
I think it depends on the game. I almost never have any problems in Beat Saber, but in Superhot my 'hand' could suddenly be 20 feet in front of me because I stepped a smidge to the right too far
I check it out after every major update. props to the devs for keeping it up even if it still missed the mark pretty hard.
Beat Saber works really well for PSVR since the main mode is always directly in front of you.
>I mean...at least it has good games right? They wouldn't just shit this thing out with no killer games to play right?
youtube.com
makes sense. even the 90 degree maps work well enough.
on the topic of beat saber, I have beaten every song in the first 3 OSTs on Expert+, plus all the 'extras' except Angel Voices, but cannot for the life of me beat a single Carmellia song. I get close with Crystallized but the rest are just silly.
Beat Saber is worthless without custom songs.
>I thought this was a masterstroke by Zuck but now I'm not so sure.
All it needed was games. Pavlov is still the only worthwhile competitive shooter for this piece of shit and it's made by a literal russian autist.
The absolute worst part of PSVR is the headset drift which will slowly break whatever game you're in. It happens constantly. Otherwise, the PSVR is comfortable, the tracking is ok, in some regards better than WMR. I can't do 2 handed shooting in most games on my WMR but on PSVR it never seemed to be a problem for example.
I meant that'd be cool but I've had a lot of fun with the original + green day + imagine dragons packs. "worthless" is a stretch
VTOL is kino.
I wish Doom VFR didn't suck so much. wasted potential there I tell ya
It's ridiculous I have to put in a console command just to make it not look like shit every time I start it
can't you edit the ini or launch options? idk what you have to do as I've never played the game but in the old days that was the way around changing options at the start of the game
so you have absolute ass taste in music and are probably a faggot, that doesn't mean the rest of us would put up with imagine dragons and green day you cutting queer
Not as far as I've been able to tell, the game doesn't even have autoexec file like every proper FPS
NuDoom is hilariously locked down considering the originals set new standards for openness and customizability. Fucking Bethesdamax can go eat shit.
Theyre fun enough to play. No need to get so asspained.
>*baby voices*the thunder, the thunder...... lightning and the thunder*bubble noises*
such taste, much wow
You act like Im a fan who would get offended at that. Like I said, theyre fun enough to play. Im glad youre so intimate with the lyrics though. Also nice meme bro thats like what 2013?
>as he shouted "I'm RADIOACTIVE RADIO ACTIVE"
or are you more of an American Idiot kind of queer?
