I quitted the moment i realised that nostalgia was blinding me to how fucking horrible this game has always been

it's all a grind but it is also a mind-numbing, boring one, and it also seems that the players who are currently on OSRS right now have realized this, which explains why every update from the moment OSRS was launched has made the grind faster and more braindead than before, but never fun

Runescape was always a soulless game and accepting it is hard

Why are you surprised new content is always ”better” (more often than not it is situationally better. For example: less xp/hour but more afk, so it’s a tradeoff). If they release something that is strictly worse than other current xp methods it will just be dead on release

runescape used to be unique because of how non combat skills felt like they mattered and the midgame was full of life
now its just another endgame grind game, so boring and sterile

I'm not even a "fan" of ice neither do I have anything positive to say about his braindead fanbase but I genuinely feel bad he isn't around anymore.
He really shouldn't have burned all the bridges with Twitch the way he did. He could've genuinely been unbanned by now and with a decent viewcount, wouldn't even have to compete with anyone in the dead IRL genre.

i didnt want to pay for decent bots to get my stats up either so I could do said quests without getting carpal tunnel from clicking agility courses 1 million times and brain rot
