Time to initiate ruleposting. Feel free to say whatever, this is something I've been thinking about lately.
If we did bi-weekly resets, along with monthly reset tourneys, then what's the point in playing during the first reset period? If we even tempted bi-weekly reset tourneys we would definitely suffer some fatigue.
I still plan on trying to host another reset tourney if there's enough interest (might post the bracket tomorrow or later this week), but what I just said has been bugging me lately. I think it's a lot more enjoyable trying to build a deck over a month period and then dueling with it. There seemed to be no quarrels when people were running a main deck/side deck during the second reset period, so I'm wondering if that's just going to happen again or are people going to try forcing the reset this time?

The resets being bi-monthly are probably for the same reasons as last time: some decks got way too strong and discouraged others from playing, and the playerbase dropped down to idk, maybe 5-6 regular players? I think it's still too early to call how things will turn out though

Considering the pack buff, power levels for decks right now are already fucking absurd. Couple that with unrestricted trading (not that I'm against that), and we have some absurd shit in merely 8 days since reset like people having dupes of multiple staples. That's why a two week reset period is necessary, in my opinion.

I still haven't seen anything more absurd than Ferret's DM deck in this format yet.
You guys aren't wrong and I do agree, however, I feel like it makes the first reset of the month feel kinda mundane without anything to strive for but that might be my bias talking. Again, I think it's really entertaining to build a deck over the course of a month and then fight it out with everyone.
It feels like one of two options is going to happen again: either everyone does in fact reset or we see the main/side deck bullshit again.
