Playing it for the first time and I'm actually surprised of how much I'm enjoying it despite the glaring issues. Also surprised of how easy it is so far, I've killed most bosses in my first or second try.

A change that I loved was having to wait a second after a party for the riposte. Made it so you couldn't press riposte a microsecond after a parry and abuse it like in DS1. Of course speedrunners that play the game sprinting left and right naked with the Claymore and Grass Shield hated it. I feel like DaSIII was tailored for the latter, and thus forgot the series forté was in the combination of the different gameplay mechanics alongside the feeling of exploration, and not "muh totally hard combat".

DaS is a masterpiece with some flaws. Level design made it. Although everything past Anor Londo can be a bit boring as fuck
DaS2 feels like a poor bootleg. B team worked on it while every top player was on BloodBorne
DaS3 is a grey mix between the two.

Dark Souls 1 is just a Demon's Souls copy paste but almost everything is better.
It has the best World/Level design in the series bar none. The most important aspect of the Souls games.
DS2 is just DS1 if the game started after you got the lord vessel and with more stuff. Everything else is a strict downgrade.
BB are DS3 are not actual Souls games, they're just Action game wannabes with linear worlds. BB is actually no better than DS3 in the end, but because of
