That's not a silly question, it clearly asks what your favorite iteration of Zelda is!

my buddy wants me to stream OoT for him, what's the best way to do so? I was just gonna emulate the 64 version on projects 64

Family streams or group chat seem like the best way to go.

That way you guys can share memes and inside jokes.

Attached: asiangorlmusics.webm (1280x720, 2.66M)

you can discord screen share it on PJ64
you guys could also do a coop randomizer where you give each other items; it can drop items from your game into his and his into yours, and sends them to the other player as you find them

He's right, you know.

Shadow Temple in general
Fuck, I dunno. OoT, I guess?
Hilda's cute, I suppose.

I mostly play for the dungeons. Shadow Temple is my favorite but after that, TP reigns king so damn hard. I do sometimes wish 3D dungeons were as complex as the 2D ones, though.

That guy is sick...

The moon sequence is so cool. I like when surrealism is used in games, especially in an impressionistic way.

Ganondorf. He looks cool (in most games anyway) and appealed to me a lot when I was an edgy preteen.

Replayed OoT and MM for the first time in many years recently and they still hold up extremely well. There are many things in MM that were lost on me even as a teenager that I saw much differently as an adult.

That was definitely one of my favourite Ghirahim moments. SS had some great characters but he stole the show for me. Massive shame he had no presence in the final boss fight.

i was thinking about the discord share screen but it lags ALOT.
I've also been having a weird problem dropping frames. I know the game usually runs at 24 but it feels like during cutscenes it drops to 16 sometimes.

Mikau! Tell my baby, I won't make it home! Aoow! Hit me!

Yes, I agree. There is something about Ganondorf which is deeply appealing. Managing to iconify evil, without detracting from it, or adding to it, is a very attractive idea. He's not grand, but he also isn't very minimal like Ghirahim. He's just the right amount of badness. Profound badness!

I thought he was edgy. Sticking his tongue out and being perverse was way too edgy for a Zelda game..

I'm currently playing Twilight Princess for the first time (HD). So far I'm loving the story and atmosphere, it's very dark fantasy which is cool to see in a Zelda game. Very cinematic stuff like saving the children from King Bulblin culminating with the showdown on the bridge. The only downside is the game keeps railroading me into doing plot stuff when I want to do side stuff.
>Let's warp to Kakariko, I want to go to the store and go look for that poe I saw earlier
>Why the fuck can't I warp, alright I guess I'll ride Epona
>Oh it's cause they wanted to trigger these story cutscenes and start more plot missions

I just got the Master Sword. So far the highlight was Goron Mines (awesome dungeon and I loved fighting the Goron guard) and the cutscene explaining the creation of Hyrule, that shit got real dark in a good way. Having a lot of fun so far.

I like my Zelda games to have a contrast between light hearted adventure and bizarre edginess, so his theatrics were a welcome addition for me.

Wind Waker
Seeing frozen Hyrule for the first time
Too many to count
Cia for sex, Dimitri for being a bro

Yes, Twilight Princess feels very hardwired to the story. You aren't free to explore like you are in the other titles. It is vastly proportionate to Wind Waker, inversely, in size and freedom. I remember that being one of my major complaints with the game. You get over it after a while though.

Yeah, but that sword! A thin, finely tuned blade, capable of reaching just under the ribs... he was so edgy! Everyone else in the game had nice long family friendly weapons... and then he comes around with this sabre that can cut glass clean! What were they thinking?

Skull Kid is sick. What a great character to reuse in a game like Majora's Mask. He helped a lot with the characterization of Link and Majora. I don't think the game would have been as successful if they used any other character.

There's something special about that too.. the ability to explore is hindered but you're given a confirmation that you will be able to find everything you want later. That foreshadowing keeps a lot of players going for some reason, it's a very popular technique to use in gaming.

zelda is gay

Pulling the sword from the pedestal is very noteworthy! That connection between narrative, player character, and player which is tied to the bond of commanding your own adventure is neatly done. Very few games since OoT have managed to incorporate some form of stone from the rock trope successfully.

Darmani is cool. The whole Snowhead temple bit is my favorite part of Majora's Mask. Learning how to overcome bereavement, and stare down death is great. It's a great execution of parable and fable, all in one neat little chapter. Don't forget GOHT either! Racing with the demon himself, deciding who might be faster.. that boss battle was so good, one of the best in the game to toy around with.

A tie between MM and BOTW for me. BOTW has better overall tracks to listen to, obviously because of higher quality, but in game you barely hear any music for long. So MM uses its soundtrack better in-game, but BOTW has a better standalone to me.

Yeah, it feels odd after playing Wind Waker, but it's clear after all the complaining people did about that game they went back to something a lot more traditional and classic epic fantasy, to the point that there's so much LOOK IT'S LIKE OOT it's kinda funny. It really feels like OoT, but with more polish and modern twists.
