Sold this piece of shit last summer. I was done with it. No games, easy games, baby games, smash was the only game worth playing but Nintendo refuses to add depth to the online. No ranking system, no competitive matches, no reward system for winning online matches. Making my way through Pokemon sheild. Just got the 3rd badge.

Why am I supposed to hate this game, again? The great amount of pokemon variety from the get go is cool as shit. It's the first time I feel that I can gave a shitton of options to have a team, and for some reason all the things that make the game more easy makes it viable to just pick up any pokemon and add/drop them from my team and not skip a beat. It's pretty nifty in terms of balance and fun.

Story takes too much time and it's boring as fuck though.

The main problems with Sword and Shield is the garbage draw distance, linearity and that some of the cities are underdeveloped. The game is pretty good aside from that. The wild area is a great place to sink dozens of hours into with raids and filling the dex and camping.

It's the Pokemon game that made me finally realize I should have grown out of that series a very long time ago. They were games for kids when I was a kid and they are games for kids now and that's how it should be but there was absolutely nothing fun, interesting, challenging, or engaging about Sword and Shield to me and I will never bother with the series again. I am actually glad for it, I don't know why I was continuing to play those games out of habit when they stopped being for me the minute I stopped being an actual child and it made me see that.

That last part is the problem. The story is bad at the start, gets worse going on, and ruins an otherwise average game.

Honestly, the problem with the new Pokemon generation is that it's boring as fuck. It's basically just SuMo again, when everyone wanted a fresh experience from a new, big-budget console release. It's like following up a decent salad with another salad, sure it's OK, but the main course is supposed to be a juicy, meaty steak.

Or at least give us MORE salad than before, and don't take away all the carrots because it's not like anyone wanted those anyways.

Eased back on my regular Smash mains to practice Darkie Samus and Kirby. Aside from recovery gimps I can't kill with Kirby for shit, especially against swords where their attack range seems larger than Kirby and its hitboxes combined.
