I'm curious to see how well this scales as doom 2016 runs like butter on my setup at 4k - pushing 100fps on nightmare settings at all times I have observed during playthroughs.
I'd be more impressed with the 290 - that was a 780 competitor in late 2013 and still puts in a strong showing today. The rare 8gb versions (or effectively the 390 - though there is a memory clock difference) does even better due to raw capacity. Doom 2016 cannot run nightmare textures on 4gb cards at 1080p.
it appeared on steam store page when people saw recommended they started refunding the game, cause can't run it several hours later they hid system requirements
This but a 3600X and a RX 580 8GB so High 1080p here I cum
Noah King
People are mad that their 670 can't run games on Full HD 60fps High anymore?
Christian Harris
>when people saw recommended they started refunding the game, cause can't run it Which is so stupid as those numbers are for 1440p high - there is a world of difference between pushing that and 1080p 60ish fps. Once again I bet it is the laptop users bitching that their 5 year old alienware machine can't run the latest and greatest. Laptop users are fucking cancer on software development (see also: emulators).
970 is capable of running '16 on 1440p Ultra 60fps if thats been relegated to 1080p Low 60fps then we're looking at RDR2 tier port here
Austin Price
REMINDER THIS IS JUST PAID HARDWARE SHILL FROM BETHESDA, BECAUSE THEY WILL RELEASE THE GAME ON SWITCH, A LITERAL CASIO CALCULATOR Using resolution scaling you can probably get solid 60fps in bottom line cards like 1030 or 1050, 720p inb4 720p lol at least IMO, this game is about gameplay, and visuals are second
Chase Garcia
>970 is capable of running '16 on 1440p Ultra 60fps i absolutely dare you to show me that because i dont believe you
Jeremiah Thomas
>AMD No. You're probably too dumb to figure out the install.
Samuel Evans
Why? It's perfectly fine
James Brooks
>how can people be so fucking tech illiterate in 2020? You are aware which board you are on correct?
REMINDER PUBLISHERS SHOVE ULTRA SETTINGS INTO GAMES JUST TO SELL CARDS, SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE ILEGAL YEARS LATERS, SOME GAMES CAN'T EVEN ULTRA PROPERLY ON HIGHEND NEXT GEN CARDS, LIKE ARKHAM KNIGHT IT IS A LITERAL SCAM
I'm not the original guy you're responding to. I'm just sick of the "amd driver' meme. Amd cards dominate the mid-range market and have minimal driver issues. The no driver meme hasn't been relevant really since 2012ish.
thank you to be fair, I use it to play indies and old AAA to play the current stuff, I use geforce now, but now that the publishers are lobbying to finish it, I am basically out of the current AAA game for a while no big deal, 2bh
Ryder Anderson
Might as well ask here 1660 Super good for regular 1080p60 gaming? anything else i should consider?
Brody Phillips
rThat's the only major incident in recent history. And only retards buy brand new high end shit right away. Fuck off
Kevin Mitchell
i would honestly spend the extra money and just grab an RTX 2060 raytracing is a heavy meme at this point but the card is a beast at only $300 USD
Alexander Anderson
I know it can cause i have same one. >tfw retards sperg out over specs that have been deleted within two hours
>tfw bought an RTX 2060 S to go together with 32 gb RAM and a Ryzen 2600 Still wouldnt want to play this game
Jack Wood
Why are you using a decade old HDD?
Tyler Cruz
>update
He's not typing out which update he installed, he typed out that he flashed the 5700XT BIOS onto his 5700(non-XT) therefore increasing the performance slightly. What he said had literally nothing to do with drivers or updates.
Carson Reyes
ok, let's do this thank you
Chase Nelson
had it lying around said "fuck it, games are getting bigger so i might need the extra space" i only have like 2 games installed it on it that are not even that big though so whatever
William Nelson
I'm not the one that bought an AMD gpu then posted my about which bios I needed I needed to run to make it work like it was a haxor skill.
I also have a 2080ti and a 144hz 4k monitor and its a bit of shame that it requires a beefier pc then 2016 since that ran 144fps almost locked at 4k. But ill manage ;)
Nathaniel Perry
I think my HDDs are from 2007. I should probably replace them at some point but I don't really access them since they're just animu storage and I rarely re-watch things.
Alexander Martinez
More optimised doesn't necessarily mean easier to run.
Aaron Reed
Yes, but tell that to the people who don't know shit.
Logan Hall
More optimised doesn't exclude higher requirements - it just means for the same performance envelope they have put more stuff in. Nightmare settings really might just be that much more demanding even if it is more optimised than 2016. Optimisation and high requirements are not mutually exclusive contrary to what Yas Forums believes.
Jeremiah Parker
My new rig is on the way. >Motherboard: B450m Mortar Max >Ram: Vengeance LPX 16gb 3200mhz CL16 >CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 >GPU: Zotac 2070 Super Mini Hoping I'll be able to hit constant 144hz @ 1080p with a mix of high/ultra settings.
Specs aside. Reminder that in the final two levels you'll be fighting hell. And after that playing two dlc's one of which is about wrecking hell one more time
Recommended specs are horseshit and minimum spec is always just whatever the weakest pc with a discreet gpu the devs have handy on-site.
Those specs will run this on medium/high at a perfect 60fps at a minimum, only reason for the drop will be that the levels are massively larger than 2016.
