As long as you understand that having more ram does not help with low vram. The gpu can't magically use ram to make up for lack of vram.

It can increase fps in recent titles though by a little pcgamer found. A game like squad really needs 16gb to fix stuttering. I really just want medium shadows and 16xAF. If low textures look ok I don't mind it. Shadows are always more noticeable to me if they're all pixelated
Honestly I ran Metro Exodus at medium/high at 60fps. I can't imagine Doom will be more demanding despite those recs

Minimum requirements are always exaggerated so that tech support isn't overloaded with shitters with blown out toasters. RDR2 has higher requirements than my first gen i7 and AMD 7870, but I can 60FPS it (on 720p med obviously)

Listfag here, anyone wanna play through some WADs together? After I finish breakfast I was gonna boot up a Yas Forums server on Zandronum and hopefully we can blast through a few levels together. If anyone is interested but doesnt have any experience with Doom mods or multiplayer source ports, just follow my list and be sure to download the source port "Zandronum". From there just look up the Yas Forums server and the required mods will be installed for you.

its a torrent of almost 6 gigs of doom wads, mods, maps and everything in between.
