I do a run once or twice a year
How many times have you beaten darksouls?
Maybe three times. You experience everything these games have to offer in a couple of runs.
once on PS3
about 5 on original PC version
twice on remastered pc
Once. It's not really a game worth replaying, you see everything in one playthrough.
0 because dark souls is a console game and i fucking hate how console games play
This. DMC sucks too.
I played Demons Souls in 2009 and then nope'd the fuck out after I died 3 times trying to cross the bridge in that first area. Jokes on me cause this series became hugely fucking popular. Would have never guessed when I played it back then.
no you don't
...yikes....
once and i regretted it because i lost kiln pvp
Yes you do. All the bosses and areas, and some janky PvP. The builds have been the same since Demon's Souls, and will probably continue being the same.
Probably like 10+ times. Do coop runs a few times a year with friends.
Probably like 5 for DeS, 30 for DaS, 15 for DS2 and 20ish for DS3
it's to hard
i always quit after the butterfly cause i get lost
you can spend 3 mins on a walkthrough and know how to progress
that looks like a residential home door not a commercial business door
the builds are the main thing, they affect every aspect of the game down to what area you go to
souls games are probably the highest replayability games out there
...that said, if you do not enjoy them because they are too difficult then I can see how someone would have a shallow opinion on them
The builds have been the same since Demon's souls, and you literally follow a very simple flowchart that has existed since Demon's Souls.
There is basically no replayability once you realize different builds literally mean different color pew-pews, enchants, etc, since they all play the same. I can get how someone might like this extremely superficial variety, but it's not for me. I just come to explore the games.
Once a year but often times i quit after the lordvessel
>Not quitting after O&S
lmao no life
Only beaten 2 times, I usually reach a point where I take a break and when it comes time to pick back up I just start a new character.
but how can you have an opinion on something you don't know about?
have you done three runs on the three main skill tree's? int dex str
it changes the game so greatly that it's almost impossible for you to have this opinion
and that's not mentioning all the other builds that you can run
?
I know all about it, more than you, trust me. Naturally, you forgot about Faith for some reason which just tells me you haven't played Demon's Souls.
All the builds are the same, you literally mash R1 and roll. With bow/magic/pyro, you spam ranged.
this is why I've never beaten NG+
and I go out of my way to get everything to prepare for NG+ too
but after I beat the game I don't want to play again right away
and so when I come back later I think to myself I should just start a new character instead of jumping in with all this shit already
do a pyro only run (nothing but pyromancy, no weapons) and tell me how it's exactly the same as a dex run
Literally the same as any other build with elemental infusions.
If you use a guide. But that's just less fun.
yikes, you should honestly do this run
this also tells me that you never did a magic only run either
My first run was pyro, lol
pyro only is not pyro, no weapons are allowed i don't think you understood
I've never played NG+ on any of these despite beating them all atleast twice besides DaS2. Beat DaS1 and BB three times now too.
?
Why would I do that? You can play any game with artificial challenges, that doesn't give them variety
beat prepare to die edition on Xbox One from the DS3 expansion pass
never been able to finish a run since keep getting bored after Anor Londo
if you are good at the game you know what min/maxing is, which I don't think you do
would you have trouble doing this?
bro you don't know wtf you're talking about
all three have good PC releases though...
Lol, I literally published the first findings on Poise, early PvP, etc, going back to Demon's Souls. You never know who you'll take to.
200+ due to randomizer
*Talk to
>poise
hmmmm...
also fuck ign
IGN?
Two times for the other ending achievement. I only play up to O&S. After that the game becomes shit.
Never played it. Might in a couple of years, but there are other games and things I'd rather do.
if you play the game like a hack and slash then congrats
if you explore the different classes/weapons/armors/skills that were in the game
congrats: you actually experienced the full game
my point being you haven't done this
>Demon Souls
0
>Dark Souls
1
>Dark Souls 2
0
>Dark Souls 3
2
>Bloodborne
1
>Sekiro
4
>...that said, if you do not enjoy them because they are too difficult then I can see how someone would have a shallow opinion on them
This is the most bitchy backhand I've ever seen lol. Do you also wear dresses?
The gameplay with every build is the same. Do you not understand what I'm saying? The builds don't alter the game in any way since the gameplay is so shallow.
emulate demon's souls
no i don't understand what you're saying because we disagree
It's a business that sells doors for homes, Holmes.
Then why did you reply to begin with? If you can't handle dissenting opinion, don't reply to people you disagree with.
2 or 3 times. It has the worst and most boring PVE in the series by far. Not eve gonna talk about that trash heap of a PVP
>DeS
4 times
>DaS
2 times without DLC, 2 time with
>DaS2
1 time without DLC, 2 times with
>DaS3
1 time without DLC, 0 times with
>Bloodborne
1 time
>Sekiro
Haven't played.
The combat gets better in every installment just about (DaS2's whips are better than DaS3's whips) but once this became a formulaic franchise and not just Demon's Souls the magic started to go away for me. I only got through DaS3 because I forced myself to play through the boredom.
I think I handled it well, I made my points and you chose to not address them
you can skip sek
Okay, sure you can do a lot of different builds but fighting the same enemies and bosses and traversing the same areas can only be interesting to a point. I like to experiment a lot in Hitman games as well but eventually become tired with the same set of levels.
What were your points? Playing a game with self-imposed restrictions = variety? That's not how it works. Furthermore, you didn't address my points at all, you just started parroting about your own shit. I wrote the guide on making guides back in the day lol.
I guess you can get 2 playthroughs out of it if you missed Ash Lake and the Painted World. Only the Painted World is really worth visiting though.
Honestly I've probably only BEATEN dark souls a few times. Thing is I rarely ever bother actually finishing it completely, instead just getting to the end game and then dicking around with invasions and such for a while. I've done dozens of playthroughs though
you like des the most?
I would but my CPU isn't good enough
>builds don't affect the way you fight enemies /position yourself/clear a room
uh... user
playing differnt builds is not restricting yourself by any means
you honestly need to get good I think
I was a PvP god lol and easy. Very easy casual game compared to even Demon's
Of course they do but I can't see myself playing out the same encounter over and over even if it's slightly different each time. It's just boring and it's something Lobos does.
>Shield only run
Yeah sounds real fun.
Once, twice if you count beating O&S as beating the game
playing different builds is not the same as a nuzlocke
30 to 40 times
what cpu? I think if you can run original ds port well then you can emulate des as well
i5 4430
I've tried and it was too stuttery to be playable, the game effectively froze for half a second every time an enemy attacked.
