Can we have a Yakuza thread that isn't just 0 for once? Will more people realize 5 is actually the best in the series after this?
Can we have a Yakuza thread that isn't just 0 for once...
When it releases on PC, i mean, probably. If what you say is true, that 5 is actually the best.
When will we get Ishin?
Never?
Just beat 3 and finished the first part of 4, Akiyama realised how much I was bored of stoneface Kiryu
Akiyama is my favorite to play as, but Saejima is the most interesting protag imo.
Yeah I wasn't sold on the concept of so many protags before starting 4, but i'm looking forward to the rest of it now and then 5
But 2 is the best in the series, 5 is good but it’s probably my third favorite after 2 and 0.
I found 2 a little disappointing after seeing so much hype around it.
Dragon engine felt like a big step backward for the combat after 0 and Kiwami.
Story was decent but didn't really have that many emotional moments compared to other entries.
Decent villain is about the only particularly outstanding thing it had going for it, and he doesn't even do that much.
for me, its
5>0>2>4>6>1>3
Never ever is the usual answer. We don't even have info about 7, not even pre-order pages on storefronts, so I wouldn't hold my breath with Ishin information any time soon. If we get any information for Ishin I'd expect it at either E3 or near the end of the year.

Just started 5 and holy shit Kiryu's first part is so nice. The new city makes me feel warm and comfy, and I can't explain why.
Also more voiced dialogue is nice. Spamming X after quickly reading dialogue text got tiresome.
I actually like 4 more than 5 so far.
Ofc 5 is absolutely massive and chuck full of content, but the story pacing leaves a bad taste

>they're selling the Yakuza bundle on Steam
>0, Kiwami and Kiwami 2
>it's just these three that are called a "bundle"
>odds of not getting the rest on PC
I can respect this opinion. I just get sick of kamurocho and loved having 5 cities in yakuza 5.
Have faith, Sega loves money too much
Chances are we'll get 3-6 on PC proior to simultaneous cross platform release of 7
Wait until E3's Epic Games Shilling Conference for Sega to announce the other 3 exclusively on the epic store
Though at this point i wouldn't get my hopes up for an Hokuto port
why is the screen tearing so bad in 0
This actually blows my mind. Ryu Ga Gotoku guys have put so much work into this, it's like a mini japan tour in one game
Do you guys think the dragon engine was a mistake ? Sure it looks good but the combat in Yk2 and y6 is very bad compared to the other one
You fucks don’t deserve these quality games
I'm ready to purchase a 3-4-5 bundle on Steam for a crisp $20 american bill, so hurry up Sega
Which one should I play first?
If Sega loves money where the fuck is my Anarchy Reigns pc version?
4 and 5 had the best fighting systems
3
Only redeeming factor was throwing people through windows
Fpbp, I refuse to play games on consoles anymore
fags like you are why we can't have comfy yakuza threads anymore
Kind of weird that they put this much effort in a good combat system in Judgement but then release Y7 that throws away all that work for a basic ass turn-based gameplay. We could have gotten a much better Y0-like style system
So what was your favourite subquest in 0?
What does the engine has to do with the stupid changes they made to the combat? I don't see how they couldn't just do it like the old games instead of trying to be fancy, like the combat didn't change that much from 2 to 3 for example.
>anymore
these threads haven't been comfy since about 2013/14 when we used to just have a thread every few weeks
is this collection worth it if i already own the original ps3 games?
the one where majima gets the dolls from the claw machine for the little girl.
I've always said that Judgement would have been much more suited for the turn-based gameplay simply because you play as a detective; therefore you would use a more "thinking man's" combat system.
this
Yas Forums is so far gone that even ace combat threads are starting to suck now
Then you don’t deserve to play new yakuza games :)
This and it wouldn't get shat on since it was a spin-off title. Plus the game barely had much combat opportunities because most of the time you just do detective stuff
Also, Kamuro of the Dead made me realize how much Dead Souls would be great if it got a full-fledged arcade rail shooter

This part now runs at a smooth 60
all I've heard about 7 is that it's great, you will not deter me
For 3? Yes, it's the definitive western edition unless someone makes a translation patch for JP 3 on PS3. For the other two? It really depends if you mind the localization changes they made and them swapping out hostesses to gain 60 FPS among other things like Tanimura.
The engine is not at fault for the combat changes, that's just the team not making the combat system right. What you're saying is essentially "Does anyone hate Kenzan's engine? The hand-to-hand combat is significantly worse than in 1 and 2."
>all I've heard about 7 is that it's great
where?
From Jap shills
but didn't it bomb in nipland? It's also shitposted 24/7 on 5ch
I'd say yeah just for the fact that they all run at 60 fps.
Even though RGG didn't optimize for it at all which leads to shit like this youtube.com
ok so i'll get it but not in a rush to buy it
I heard these games have some god tier combat, is that true?
>one man managed to make a better combat system than an entire team
Christ RGG team are run by retards
7 just looked so shallow from watching devilleon stream it. There's such a thing as a good TB JRPG but it doesn't look like that, it looks like pick best attack and clap at the animations.
5 is pretty good but it has one of the more mediocre stories and an abyssmal end
Lol no
>story
>Yakuza
You're doing it wrong.
so many things are wrong in this post
other than not talking about Majima and the Aizawa part, what's wrong with it?
for his son (who) is the biggest sticking point for me
the appeal of the series for me is like 75% the side content, so this really isn't a big negative.
that ending got even worse with Y6. How the fuck did they not think this through?
