Who knew Yas Forums's most requested character to be playable in Smash was none other than the first lady of fighting games herself, Chun-Li!
Chun-Li is too big of an icon to not include in Smash, she was the first playable female in a fighting game, so it only makes sense that she represents female fighters in the roster of mostly males.
If us Chun-Li supporters were more vocal about Chun-Li's inclusion, then i'm positive Sakurai would add her to the roster, because knowing Chun-Li, she can bring so much to the world of Smash, I just know it!
Please Sakurai, and please Yas Forums, give Chun-Li a chance!!!

Just a Street Fighter fan, not OP, but If Yas Forums were to be vocal about trying to get Chun-Li included as a playable character in Smash, then how would we even do it? Do we start a hashtag on twitter? Do we make videos to spread awareness? Do we send emails to Capcom and Nintendo? I don't know, but I would do the hashtag on Twitter if it starts to trend.
Unfortunately the second pass is set in stone IIRC, I'm just coming at this from a magical angle, where I can speak the desired result into being through intent and ritual. For me the ritual is posting pictures of Chun-Li on Yas Forums and watching people get all bent out of shape about it.
I think Ken wasn't necessarily more deserving - it's pretty 50/50 - but he was definitely easier with Ryu's assets already available. I had been waiting over a decade for Banjo, so that was pretty dope. Idk, I just feel like there's a Chun-Li-shaped hole in that mural somewhere, you know?

I don't even think Byleth would be so bad if not for the fact that about 10% of the roster is now FE characters. I also want Lloyd because I played Symphonia and he has a really interesting movepool. That said, for the same reason I want him, i want Chun-Li. I think Terry and Ken actually increase her chances, as weird as that sounds.

He's right though. Ken's the original fighting game echo and was here since the original Street Fighter. If Terry's games inspired helped Smash, then Ken inspired the game's usage of clones

I'm assuming they'd buff the vertical distances and that she'd generally have better options for air mobility than Ryu and Ken, like, say, the head stomp. Also like said, they could incorporate the Tenshokyaku in there somewhere.

Luigi was the original echo, so the only thing Ken has is being there from the start, but even then, that's because he was just Ryu but blonde and in a red gi.

Now that I think about it, makes a really good point with the TvC moveset. Tenshokyaku on DP would work basically the same as the shoto's recoveries, and they could pull a Terry and give her two side specials.
