the Bowser Jr. stuff relates to a fan ripoff Super Mario Bros GT. Looks like the dude that originally uploaded the series deleted his videos after being called out for plagiarizing from other sprite animations, so episode 1 only remains on YT from reaction channels. The BJ crap starts at 12:50. This series was literally no different from the millions of SMBZ clones that plagued Newgrounds and YT in the mid 2000s. Better animation, but still noticeably lacking in the movement and staging when you compare it to the SMBZ reboot

Yoshi's Island was the peak of SMBZ. Nothing surpassed it. Even Alvin knew it - that's why it took so long to continue after it and hr eventually quit.
