What's the oni form stuff like? Been avoiding pretty much everything on this because PConry
Can you customise your oni form or does it depend on your guardian spirit?
Nah, the important question here is why are you playing this game when Sekiro, Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1 and 3, and Bloodborne exist? Hell, even Dark Souls 2 is a better option than any of the Niohs.
Instead of a half-assed bootleg samurai Souls that repeated the same mistakes as its predecessor, you can either play an actual samurai / ninja game done right or the the original Souls games.
>Sekiro
Shit
>Demon's Souls
Dead
>Dark Souls 1
Dead
>Dark Souls 3

>Bloodborne
Multiplayer was never alive

>a half-assed bootleg samurai Souls that repeated the same mistakes as its predecessor
Souls never learned. They just reskinned the exact same zone and enemies ad nauseum and the same problems occurred forever.
Who are you replying to?
I disagree
Sekiro, Demon's Souls and Dark Souls are all good games. So is Bloodborne (but shit fps).
DS2 and DS3 are shit.
Nioh is a good game. Nioh 2 will be good as well but it's just Nioh 1.5.
Even if Souls "never learned" and "only reskinned", at least the core gameplay was solid enough to stand on its own even with little variation.
Meanwhile most of Nioh's core design elements are either obsolete, innately horrible or terrible designed, and the sequel repeated the same mistakes.
Nioh isn't a good game; the fact that Dark Souls 2 is an objectively better one says figures, and Nioh 2 will be the same.
>why play game?
>why no play different game?
Sekiro simply made Ni-oh (and in a way the Soulsborne games) obsolete.
If I were KT I would just cancel the launch and recoup my losses. Like, what's the point of releasing a Sengoku Soulsborne clone in a post-Sekiro world?
>the core gameplay was solid enough to stand on its own
Was it? The combat was terrible, the only thing that made progressing through the game tense was the threat of invasion because most enemies were braindead.
And Nioh 2 did? Aside from a slight increase in enemy variety and a few new weapon types its practically the same game with a few new problems of its own, particularly the demon zones which serve more as annoyances than anything compelling. Level design is still hit or miss, enemies can still stun you to death with heavy-hitting attacks, loot system hasn't had any significant changes other than temporary unique weapons. This is coming from someone who enjoyed the first one.
I don't know if Nioh 2 did. It's not out yet, so I can't comment and withhold judgement until I've played it myself.
Will Nioh 2 also have the character transmogs you can buy from the teahouse like in 1? I know we have custom characters now, but I could still see them adding the NPC costumes.
Yeah you could change to an NPC and William in the demo so that feature is still in
Hasn't even played the game acts out like he knows everything already kys
Sent shill.
We had William as an option in the beta before this last one, they'll be back for sure
>Spear forever
>Youngblood armor from Nioh 1. Ferry man for the TITS in Nioh 2
>I’m really glad the spider spirit was in the trial. I carried that lil nigguh all the way through the game
>summoning skeleton niggas was fun
>dishonerabu non-samurai way
>dishonerabu non-samurai way
Everything I stated was opined from all of the prerelease experiences I've had with it, so i suppose I can't cast any final judgments either, but its enough for me to say that there haven't been any fundamental or structural changes to the formula whatsoever. Aside from the Dark Souls sequels, every Fromsoft souls title has made some significant fundamental change to the formula. Dark introduced an interconnected open world, Bloodborne forced a dodge-only agressive playstyle, Sekiro removed the RPG elements, added verticality and stealth, etc. Not saying Nioh 2 needed a large quantity of fundamental changes as the original was sound but something large enough for it to feel like a different game. They could've seamlessly connected the areas together while retaining a mission structure post-completion, which they already kinda did with a few of Nioh 1's earlier areas.
Here's my waifu.
early copy anons where you at?
darks souls barely had any changes stop lying I have played the games they only had small minor additions overall the gameplay remained the same
and also bloodborne and sekiro were made to be different the inherent problem with your post is this is a sequel not a completely different ip
People constantly talk shit about how bad the second half of Dark Souls is and it's common knowledge that half the weapon types aren't worth using unless you minmax the fuck out of your character, why do people try to push that it's a great game? It's like saying the first Dragonball Xenoverse game is good because it's sequel is an above average game.
You can customize like your hair and shit for each of the 3 forms but the form itself depends on your spirit
>Dark introduced an interconnected open world
Imagine caring about this nonsense.
Dark Souls introduced Estus, which is the most important mechanical change. The interconnected world is just a neat little thing that only retards think is actually important.
It's a moderately difficult game that got some widespread appeal because "oh my god it's sooooo difficult", and playing it was like gamer cred
Because Nioh's combat is better than all of those games combined.
Literally GOD-TIER combat
Yes, which is why the third installment still regularly reaches daily player counts over 10000.
You can say you don't like it, but your brainlet tier comment has already outed you as a retard, so a retard like you not liking it is not a bad reflection on the game.
>1kat
>shrine maiden set
That's all I need.
As if PvPfags can ever let go
>SEKIRO SEKIRO SEKIRO
>SOULS SOULS SOULS
Every fucking thread. This will get worse when the game actually releases, right?
It changes the experience moreso than you think. In Demons Souls you had a general idea of where you were entering via the archstones and a general progression path, that is, go from archstone to area main, unlock shortcut back to initial archstone if level provided, then go to boss. With the open world structure in Dark Souls a bonfire could often lead to completely divergent paths that could either branch out, lead back to a shortcut to the same bonfire or a different area, or end. The fact that you weren't given any blatant indication of the uncharted paths beforehand makes exploring more exciting and rewarding IMO.
Has it changed the loot system?
>Muh interconnected world
I wonder what did you play before Dark Souls. Probably nothing, like most Soulsfags
No.
No. Why would they?
Inb4: pointless whining.
Nice response braindead faggot
Ok, I guess I'm gonna skip out on it. The system is silly for a game like this and you're silly for defending it.
because its sperg shit
I beat that duel asshole in Nioh. With 1kat in an honorable Samurai duel.
Shit was so cash.
Is 1kat this fun against demons?
>this close to launch
>no fucking brazillian/italian/euro streaming the game
the what?...
I can only give you my Ninjutsufu and Onmyofu since the game isn't out and we know next to nothing of the other 4 categories.
Kunai.
Sloth.
>silly
>sperg shit
No arguments as always.
>Hurr durr it's dumb.
Damn, really opened my eyes there.
any day now
Italiano is dying of corona. Please understand.
Too young
I just checked Twitch and got all excited seeing a chinese guy play Nioh 2. It was just Katana Kami... fucking slanteyes
>those Orney and Smuph revenants on the second level
I'm actually terrified of devs adding more avanced humanoid types into the game because they are far more bullshit than any revenants
Stop making Belle Delphins
Why do you think they are hard? I still think the only slightly hard part of the demo was the crystal powered Enki.
Another day, another dude filtered by the loot system
Yas Forums is FromSoft territory.
If you don't like it feel free to go back to Neogaf, Resetera, Reddit or whatever place you came from.
Anyone already playing the game have spoilers like Guardian spirits, skill trees, story, loot, etc
How important is blacksmith shit in the early game of Nioh?
I'm drowning in loot, so it feels like it'd be a waste to put a lot of effort into some items if I'm just gonna replace them with a new drop in the next level.
>How important is blacksmith shit in the early game of Nioh?
Don't bother with it until DLC whatsoever, just find the loot with higher stats and maybe an elemental damage on it, that's all
You only start putting some love into your weapon once you get to divine gear.
Nah, I'm more into Anzu's looks than Belle. Belle looks is too old.
>bloodborne
>multiplayer never alive
That is the most ignorant statement ive ever read on Yas Forums. Ive done hundreds if not thousands of invasions in Bloodborne
Hope we get more enemy variety in N2, you saw all variations after entering the 2nd map area in the first.
>Nobody wanted to do Chalice Dungeons
>Being invaded in story zones could be solved by killing the bell maidens which were always in the same place
Fucking god-awful system
I am watching the influencer Maximilian Dood play the last chance beta and the game looks like utter shit. The screen looks like someone vomited 500 colors and particles all over to create the illusion of depth.
>incoming a million bloodborne drones
Did they fix the trash loot?
>sataniafag is retarded
Like pottery
Not him but as someone who REALLY loved BB invasions i can surely state that being an invader is fucking painful and a year after the game's release i was forced to wait for several minutes in some locations just to invade
Which is an absolute bloody shame, BB invasions are amazing.
>watching influencers
Yikes. Good stay from this game you incel
Going straight ninja. 1 Katana and MAYBE Kusarigama. Mostly wanna use katana and tools.
>that
>straight
Looks like a turbodyke
You are diseased.
