As somebody who recently replayed DMC3 on Switch, I can confirm that the level design is just as good (bad) as DMC5.

Backtracking and puzzles were shit, I don't miss them at all
The missions set in the city have some good atmosphere, especially missions 2 and 3
Yeah the Qliphoth got old but that's never coming back again

I thought the setting of 5 was fine, I would have just liked some more gothic architecture in Redgrave. Also, I don't mind the aesthetic of the Qliphoth, but I feel like the top of it could have been more interesting, it's kind of dull for a final battleground. All of the arenas for Vergil's fights are cooler in 3.

My logic is that if they're going to announce a Special Edition, this is the best time for them to do it. If they don't, no big deal, I'll just buy the base game and move on.

How user friendly is the coop mod?
Personally I'd have no problem with tinkering around till it works smoothly but most of my friends would probably be on the plug and pay side of things.

Well, assuming they're going to have Trish and Lady fill in for Dante and Nero's chapters like in 4, someone still needs to replace V.

But more important than either Vergil or Girls, we need a Free Play mode. Any character in all chapters.

DLC won't happen because publishers have realized that singleplayer expansions sell like shit, normalfags don't "come back" to SP games after they finish them.

I dont even think DMC5SE is likely at this point. Why spend 1.5 years making DMC5SE and sell maybe 500k-1 million, when you can just do DMC6 in 2.5 years and sell 3-4 million instead?
