My personal issue with XC2, was that it didn't really have an underlying story like XC1 did. XC1 looks like a revenge quest on the surface, but if you understand the Monadology, and Monads Computer Programming, there's an entire underlying story below that. XC2 didn't really have that, although it's world building was a lot better
