Slay The Spire

So... you're guaranteed to lose a bunch of life to this guy during Act1? You can't block because it enrages him and boosts his attack higher than you can possibly defend at this stage of the game, so you just have to spam attack cards and accept that he's going to wail on you for 30-50 damage. Great design.

>30-50 damage
You mean 16.

well, yes, you're not supposed to go the whole game without ever taking damage
I don't know where you got that idea from

How the fuck are you taking

You can mitigate literally every other enemy's damage except him.

mitigate it by making him dead

Migrating damage is only relevant for people how can't beat it

If you can't handle it, just pick a path that doesn't have a mini boss in that level, and quit whining.

can't you clear his buffs before he attacks you?

I haven't played a lot (and by that I mean 60 hours) but I don't think there's any way to impact an enemy's buffs except for a couple of cards that can lower strength.

this goblin nob thing (whatever it's called) is nothing compared to the one that starts out asleep

For what it's worth it'll stay sleeping for 3 turns if you don't break the armor which gives you some time for setup

Bullshit, you can prep for three turns before it wakes up, you get a turn to stun it, AND it doesn't boost its attack when you block.

Name 10 turn based RPGs where you can avoid ever losing any health.

FF 1-X

The three pillar things are lowkey the worst ones with their deck clogging bullshit.

Yes, the point of the boss is a DPT race.
He only shows up on Act 1 so who fucking care about losing HP?
Most act 1 bosses can be taken down without ever being hit.

youre meant to lose life, life is just a resource the same way cards are

He's probably the easiest floor one elite
These guys and the shell monster are way worse. That guy JUST hits you.

Started with this last run, I won and it was the most fun ever. Wrath Omniscience Ragnarok is kino.

Attached: 20200305225439_1.jpg (1920x1080, 370.67K)

Ragnarok is kinda underwhelming when you get some str and uograded Tantrum, the damage becomes comparable but it's 1 mana

How the fuck are you taking so much damage? Just race him and use block cards towards the end if necessary. Health is a resource and loosing it is a part of the game. Also, it can be a godsend in act one if hexaghost is your boss since he deals less damage if you have less hit points.

Upgraded Ragnarok is 72 damage with Wrath though. Tantrum is 36 and every point of strength adds 12 to Ragnarok's damage and 6 to Tantrum's.

Upgraded tanrum is 4x3 so str adds 4/8

How do you get your card numbers that low and not get super fucked by status? I know that going small deck is the way to go but I tend to die to bosses that stack status with decks smaller than 20

dude just get lucky and find bludgeon/sunder before the fight lmao

Any good streamer/youtuber to watch to git gud?

Ah yes.

stop using plain attack cards
and stop using skills

Mario and Luigi RPG
Paper Mario

nigga just pick some attack cards like nigga get better cards than strikes hahaha

Lmao just use weak

bellissimo

>gains attacks through your weak skill, effectively nullifying it

;)

Just use an ATTACK that gives it weak, brainlet

Perfect strike is best card

based and strikepilled

take good attack cards and quit trying to play like a microdeck queer

Actually he should do both.

Pretty fun daily today.

mobile version fucking when
this game is perfectly suited for it

It was supposed to be out by the end of last year, now they're just saying it's in the publisher's hands.

Fuck the Champ

You've done it now.

He traded his starting relic for a boss relic, and got the one that transforms your starting cards.

Learn skill card synergies my niggas. Instead of arbitrary additives, go build your deck upon multiplicative and exponential growth

>make power deck
>its anti power boss
>make spam deck
>its the timekeeper
>make slow defensive deck
>its the donut and brother boss.

God damn it every time.

HAW HAW HAW

What's more effective for heart runs, ascension 1 or non-ascension? I figured ascension 1 might be better for more relics, but I keep getting dicked down by elites

I don't know why I find the heart so hard to take down. I'm on like A8-10 with all characters but I've only killed it with ironclad. There's always one little thing that fucks me.

Where is he? Where's the 5th character?

Attached: ForeignInfluence.png (678x874, 314.77K)

it's (you)

>tfw there's people out there who don't realise if you keep the blob boss above 70 health BEFORE he does the big hit you can, on the then of the big hit, get his health down as much as possible so that when he splits, the other two blobs spawn with that lesser health and you can do the same to them and either one/two shot them before they can split again, or get them to like 10 health so the small blobs are super weak.

I always avoided snecko eyes, but then I got as starting relic, said fuck it and it was the first time I beat act three 3 as the watcher. Not the heart though, but fuck that thing.

What could the 5th character even be? We already have our classic fantasy setup.
>fighter
>rogue
>mage
>priest
Maybe something bard-like.

Fuck the heart, confirmed.

Jew.

If you have a low cost combo/synergy deck snecko is the worst thing in the world.
But if you have an expensive power-based deck with heavy hitting cards that cost 2 or more Snecko is suddenly the best thing in the world.
Ironclad in particular loves Snecko. Because Ironclad's Power cards are the most expensive and cost ineffective to use.
Like Barricade. Amazing card, but when it costs 3 you just don't often use it outside of a combo where you've already got energy to spare for it.

It's the merchant

Monk =/= Cleric.

Hey so I think I found a bug. I went into an event room and ended up in the coliseum and after beating the first fight and decided to try my luck on the next one for relics. I saved and quit my run during the first turn after realizing I should have used my flex potion, but when I continued the run it just ended the fight and gave me two relics. It happened during act 2. Has this happened to anyone else?Don't tell the devs.

>We already have our classic fantasy setup.

Then where's the obligatory archer archetype?

Is Hearthstone's Dungeon Run good?

>get frozen eye
>never utilize it and feel retarded the whole time for purposefully ignoring it

If you haven't gotten every character to ascension 20, you don't know SHIT about Slay the Spire
