That design is fucking excellent
I can't stop hearing the xylophones
what game? Let me guess, some atlus thing?
He wasn’t that hard
Fuck that boss
SMT4
This cunt and not in a good way. Especially during the incest fight.
He really isn't that hard desu.
Unless you get Walter as a partner, then he's fucking retarded.
>oh no Minotaur is sooooo hard :(
in DMD, I needed to use untouchable. Mundus also sucked in DMD.
Beat this guy first time
This nigga was actually ruthless. SJ's combat changes filtered me
Maybe they nerfed him in the remake, I barely even remember the fight and i definitely didnt have trouble with him
I was a victim of OTK Mot in Nocturne thought
>incest fight
Wha? When?
>Fucking regenerates to full health
>To win you need to hope your build deals those 2x attacks succesfully
Demifiend isn't hard at all you faggot
You need to learn the difference between cheap and hard
you literally just spam ice spells and cover your weaknesses and nuke him super quick. The only issue with him is if Walter ends up as your partner in which case you're probably fucked
>he doesn't know
I love bosses that you are required to cheese to beat. Really shows how leet the skill level of the game is
>cheese
you just kill the dogs quick and then use your 10 million iframes to roll through his attacks
Lemme guess...
Building one shot builds?
But that's no fun
I will admit some of the new designs just look absolutely excellent, even if there is some overdesigning going on its pretty good.
>Cheese
You're not supposed to cheese it
And the idea was decent, it was the execution with the fucking dogs what failed
Lorence in Trails of the Sky is probably the hardest JRPG boss I've fought.
None of them are particularly hard.
In SMT I'd say Trumpeter is the hardest unless you look up a guide
When she and her son fling their fluids everywhere across the screen and you're in between them.
>The absolute cosmic level of filtering this game did to Yas Forums.
I still can't believe how fucking good this design is, especially since it was from a guest artist.
melody spells are based on hp and holy melody can heal you if you're lowest hp
What is that blue thing? I had a fucking dream one day where giant blue gods resembling Krishna and shit were "prototyping" the first humans and it looks JUST like that fucking blue thing.
I MUST KNOW!!
arahabaki
That's Arahabaki
megamitensei.fandom.com
Dying isn't a problem
He just takes a long time and then one-shots Daisoujou every once and awhile
Almost made me quit the game
He was only hard because one of the NPCs would be retarded and use Agi giving him free fucking attacks left and right
Thanks niggers. I never played SMT or any of this shit, I just thought the Minotaur design was cool so I clicked in the thread. Seeing that Arahabaki shit sent me on a trip. That dream was so unreal.
I just played the remake recently and the first fight with the hp regen was a cakewalk, the second phase obliterated more than half my demons and i had the same exact team as before, pretty crazy
>when you find out your daughter is into black guys
>SJ bosses
Fuck half of those things were fucking slogs of rape. They almost all have a mechanic too that fucks you if you take too long. Asura was pretty stupid though just some idiotic status ailment boss. I almost got filtered by Aleph i had to make a fucking 2-3x reflect/absorb team just to survive her shit.
Everything was nerfed in the remake
>Cheese
>Capra
1 good swing will net both the dogs in most cases. He doesn't even one shot most people at that point and using the stairs isn't cheese its a obvious intentional part of the room to fight the boss.
Using raw skill is fun but also using environmental skill especially the kind where its obvious its there and not some unintentional shit is also neat.
You know now that I think about it the SMT games being so ridiculously hard makes perfect sense. Since it's established that the demons can fuck humans up easily, and having demons of your own only gives you a fighting chance.
Especially when he doesnt even have that many moves
>Not knowing on Trumpeter works
I mean granted it is one of the more complex setups but that isn't how it works. Just keep count of his life total and make sure you have a demon with 1 or more less then full life then he will heal them
On hard that one dude who was trying to take shit over was the biggest hurdle for me. I essentially had to go off and get like 10 levels. When he slams the ground he has armor the entire time and it heals like 10k of his life. After like the half way point he will spam it for the rest of the fight and i have no idea how i was supposed to out damage that shit without leveling up.
Vesperia on hard in general was a pretty annoying waste of time. I also used my healing items on the tutorial boss forgetting you could just lose it if you want and fought hard Zagi 1 without any healing and reee'd for like 45 minutes before reseting.
is Ceaseless discharge a cheese boss or environmental skill boss
This got me thinking, how loyal are demons to their summoner? I might be remembering it wrong but i thought minotaur was chaos aligned and its talking about the other humans like he was part of the angels crew, so basically he changed sides only becouse his summoner told him to? do other demons recent him for doing so? do they even care? what do regular demons think of demons with a summoner? Are they like race traitors and shit or do they just not think about it?
can you imagine having to fight the final law boss just for him to realise you brough a full team of angels to fight him, are the angels crying becouse they have to cut their previous boss into ribbons?
I don't know, this shit sounds pretty funny but its never exploited for some reason, never saw a silly internet comic about it at least
minotaur made it pretty clear that he was loyal only to his master
regular demons would probably do things like nocturne where the MC dying means they can all just fuck off because their boss just died
>This got me thinking, how loyal are demons to their summoner?
In most games they're essentially hiring out their services to you (after haggling over the bill), and if you die, the "control" is null and void, and the demons abandon you (hence your death = game over). But in SMTIV the demons are loyal enough to keep fighting for you after you purchase the agricultural facility.
*the "contract" is null and void
I'd imagine that demons are pretty fucking loyal to their summoner. After all, even if you die in combat, your demons still fight for you
Literally impossible
probably depends on the demon
I'd imagine the chaos-aligned once just shrugging your death off as you being too weak
That's in the newer games, in the old games their loyalty lasts until your HP hits zero.
And the Law-aligned ones just see you as unworthy of carrying out YHVH's will. They've got you coming and going.
Yeah but I meant within the lore of SMT4 specifically.
Trumpeter would be the next Fiend I fight. I appreciate these hints. He'll go down fast now
>1 good swing will net both the dogs in most cases
Easier said then done seeing how the dogs have an attack that comes out at frame 1 or something.
>Lorence
Same, my first playthrough was on hard mode so beating him without retry offset was extremely difficult, even with earth wall spam.
Maybe Flynn's just a better boss to his demons and inspires genuine loyalty in them. I mean, he talks to his demons a lot, if he can learn a demon's powers from those whispers, maybe the demons are also learning from him.
Shakkumon from digimon
