The last tease we got was Kiwami 2(11 months ago), before then they were teasing shit every 3-4 months for a new game. Before that was Catherine(Classic).
Ever since then we've had no notable releases from SEGA on PC. Even Switch is rumored to be getting Catherine(Not Classic the updated fucking version)
This is fucking bullshit.
Where is Yakuza 3-4-5-6? Where is Judgment? Where is Persona? Where is the updated Catherine at the very least?
They probably want to bring the HD remaster collection first to PC.
Alexander White
Yakuza 5 released like a week ago they don't want to lose potential customers. I'm sure they will release either 3 or Judgment this Fall.
Ryan Ramirez
i would imagine they're gonna do the bundle collection thing for 3/4/5 instead of separate releases and that just came out. if there's no news by the end of the summer maybe then start worrying.
Carson Allen
No one buys Japanese shit on PC. It's a dead market.
Isaac Morgan
yakuza 0 sold a fuckton tho
Wyatt Brooks
buy a PS4 :^)
Xavier Bell
I bought zero, kiwami 1 and 2 when they came out. I did my part.
Hudson Reed
Did you think they were porting all the games at the same time? They did a few then analized the results to see if it was worthwhile to do more.
Xavier Ward
Yakuza Ishin FUCKING when?
Camden Perry
I just want the one in which you play as the Shinsengumi. That's the closest I'd get from a RPG set in this based time period.
James Hughes
My man
Leo Torres
3/4/5/6/dead souls/ishin/kenzan/lost paradise on pc when
>Did SEGA give up on PC? oh boy, why don't they want to sell their games for peanuts. I wonder why.
Anthony Scott
And yet PC has more Jap games than Switch, the most popular console in Japan.
Hunter Turner
Sega is always slow with everything. You forgot that Xbox is getting Yakuza now which probably got in the way of PC releases.
Levi Turner
Probably taking their time with the collection that just came out on PS4, it would really make no sense to do anything else at this point. Also I'm glad they're taking their time, I've just beaten 0 a month or two ago and I'm not ready to do it all over again with 1 and 2 right now.
Kevin Mitchell
They base it on Binary Domain sales.
Caleb Rogers
they're probably gonna announce shit on E3
Camden Turner
sega doesn't care about pc, only their european division
>Buy a single entry >pirate everything after that >expect the newest games to still come
Oliver Sullivan
>expect the newest games to still come but they will, the team who ported 0 and k1 are working on 3 projects so prepare yourself to backpedal some more
Kevin Foster
>dude piracy has no consequences lmao >what do you mean the studio doesn't wanna make more ports, wtf
Samuel Butler
>everyone on pc pirates dumbass you know you can pirate on console too right? guess we should just stop making video games all together
Wyatt Reyes
pc is dead weight for these niche titles.
Jayden Miller
better than absolutely nothing on switch www
Kevin Cox
>Willfull Ignorance: The Post
Brandon Gutierrez
>force anti-consumer drm to game >hurr why do people pirate???
Ethan Wilson
developers lose alot more money because of used games on consoles than they lose from piracy
microsoft even tried to stop used games and you people threw a fit because you want cheap games without the developer getting a cut you people also moaned about online passes in games until they got removed making sure the devs get no money for the games you buy
>Did SEGA give up on PC? Depends. Did you guys as a community put your money where your mouth is? That's what counts.
Daniel Gomez
There is a game called Yakuza Kiwami that came out after Yakuza 0.
Jose Clark
>where is Persona On PlayStation
Nolan Bennett
I just want Shin Sakura Taisen, I don't care if it's shit
Camden Reed
Ok user, now bear in mind that game sold 14 MILLION copies.
Owen Martinez
Its really funny if you look at the history of sega & how fucking retarded SoJ is >not even a japanese company (was founded by americans) >SoJ fucks up non stop >SoJ turns to an american to get america right, even though in jap they cant seem to do anything right outside of arcades >SoA does so fucking well that it LITERALLY pisses off SoJ so bad, they go full retard >SoJ in their full retardness not only fuck up their own shit, they actively go out of their way to literally sabotage SoA >When that only dents them at first, the decide that the ONLY reason Sega is doing well in every market is because of them. At one point, they literally deny any of the marketing strategy that SoA did & claim publically that the reason Sega is doing well in america is because somehow the Japanese ads/comercials are convincing americans to buy Sega, even though 0 japanese ads/commercials appear in america >SoA, dominating the market place for years in a row (outselling the SNES for 95% of its entire genesis run) found out that the Saturn is a POS and extremely hard to code for, and the SoJ head of R&D is making an overly expensive chip because of his deal to patent every single thing he does new (& keeps it, not SoJ). In response to this POS shitstorm, SoA finds a much better chip thats not only 2x as powerful, but also up to 3x cheaper >SoJ's head of R&D finds out & convinces SoJ that its a lie and that new chipset is revolutionary, and will destroy the one SoA is proposing. Keep in mind his chipset isnt even made yet & all the "conclusive data" he presented SoJ was based on his belief of how it will turn out when hes done >still not convinced, he calls up SoA and tells them to kill the deal because "The chip is to big". Upon being asked what that even fucking means, He stuttered and hung up on them. Upon calling SoJ back to find out what the actual fuck is going on, SoA is reprimanded for contacting the SoJ R&D without going through SoJ first (despite THEM calling SoA)
>Also during this time, they are approached by another company to merge together. They want to enter the gaming market with some clout behind it and they had a decent history with working together. That companys name was Sony. Sega had the chance to make the Sega Playstation. All sega had to do was say yes as Sony would handle all the system dev. Sega laughed at them and turned them down before the day was done >All while this was going on, SoJ decides to trust their R&D and not some american company and goes with the custom chipset they are making >When its all said and done, its an expensive chip, extremely hard to program for, has 0 dev tools and best of all, far FAR weaker than promised. MUCH weaker than the sony rumored system. To combat this, instead of just switching to the more powerful US chip that SoA found, they just add a second fucking unit to the Saturn, almost doubling the cost of an already super expensive system. >terrified that America only buys the first system launched and ignores all other systems after, it forces SoA to launch the very much not ready system 4 months early, not only catching everyone by surprise for no reason, but also pissing everyone off at the same time. >Theres only 2 games at launch because this amazing brainwave sega had wasnt actually shared with anyone, inclduing the 3rd party devs/publishers, so there was 0 new games ready until the original launch date 4 months later. >by the time christmas rolls around, theres less than 10 games total and almost every single publisher/dev has backed out of their agreement >by also launching this surprise, they also pissed off 90% of the retailers, including walmart, toys r us, and target, They refuse to carry the system past xmas.
>also during this time of the Saturn/PS1, SoJ forced out 2 key people. tom kalinske and steve race. >Tom is the man who turned sega around and then got blamed for the saturn failing (despite it being a direct order from SoJ) >Steve race is the man who came up with every successful marketing strat Sega ever had, including the console wars, Sega does was nintendont & the sega scream >Upon the launch of the PS1, it outsells the entire Saturn total combined numbers (Jap, US and EU) in a single month >sega freaks out & they start work on their last system, the dreamcast >Instead of going with the newly made DVD drive, which was going to be sold to them cheap because of past ties and friendships, the head of Segas R&D decided against it because he was working on a 1gb CD, which he had a patent pending & wanted that sweet cash per unit sold/created. >Also during this time he tells them he has some mega revolutionary GPU in the pipeline and they should totally go with him. SoJ, remembering his last fuckup, decides to see OTHER GPU manufacturers. They eventually chose the 3DFX voodoo, a well known and trusted GPU maker. >Upon launching an IPO, 3DFX was forced (by law) to sumbit all their current contracts, Sega included. This pissed SoJ off for some reason & they ended all ties to it and went crying back to their head of R&D. His chipset, Dural, was not only weaker and worse made than the Voodoo, it was also super complicated to make (for some reason) & it lead to a fucking ton of production issues >Upon launching the dreamcast in america (complete with shortages caused by SoJ) AND with SoJ publically announcing that they are leaving the console manufacturing business and going 3rd party after the dreamcast, they then complained and blamed SoA for not selling enough units. Keep in mind that when they said this, SoA had sold more Dreamcast units than japan while also being available for about half the same time.
I could go on and on, but SoJ is a non stop fuck up
probably realized that dropping a new game every 3 months is the wrong way to do it
Blake Wood
Nobody cares

And Lab42, the guys that ported Y0 and Kiwami to PC, teased most likely HD Collection ports, since they're all on the same engine, yes, even 3 and 4, they just improved graphics engine for 5 and onward, it's not a major overhaul. And it's obvious they're going chronological order. Meanwhile QLOC, the guys that ported Kiwami 2, a Dragon Engine game, is busy with Cyberpunk.
>Sony cope itt Except you could not be more wrong. Actual older Yakuza fans remember when there wasn't enough fan interest post Yakuza 4 and Dead souls and we lost our series entirely. It took a LOT to convince Sega to bring it back, and you think i would be mad to see it be so successful now that it's financially viable to port it to even the Xbone? Nah im pretty happy about this turn of events mate.
It's all hardcore Sonygros angry about losing game, thinking they're sustainable, when in fact Yakuza 6 is the first and only confirmed title in the series to ever reach 1 million copies shipped and sold digitally worldwide. I've been a fan for a long time and I'm glad it's coming to other platforms.
Jacob Harris
>It's all hardcore Sonygros angry about losing game No it's not. I don't have a PC and my main current gen is a PS4 pro. Im STOKED that Yakuza is doing this well. When anons call it Japanese COD i say "YEP. Hit me with it again this year." I fully support it's multiplatform status as long as that keeps the series going.
Ian Rivera
"Sonygro" doesn't mean your regular PS4 owner, just a retarded fanboy.
Jacob Garcia
Just ignore the Amerisperg
Noah Martinez
>retarded fanboy. so PC userbase?
Charles Myers
I don't remember the last time I pirated a game.
Man fuck you I even bought Yakuza 0 and 1 on PS4 before I knew they'd come to PC. And now I have 0 on PC and I gifted 0 to a friend a few days ago.
I have literally all systems and pc thread is literally about port begging so nah, look at the mirror if you fags want to play game which isn't on system your choosing, you get the hardware. but all you do is cry
Ryder White
>thread is literally about port begging Large part of comments in this thread is about pretending that PC ports didn't sell, while even fucking Sega says it did well on PC.
Parker Peterson
false They obviously want pc players to play in order. So we got 0 then 1. Now we will get 2 then 3 4 5 remasters.
Jose Rodriguez
Kiwami 2 is already on PC.
Tyler James
>Meanwhile QLOC, the guys that ported Kiwami 2, a Dragon Engine game, is busy with Cyberpunk. lol if you think QLOC is just working on Cyberpunk
John Sanchez
QLOC is also doing Xbox ports of Yakuza.
Joseph Johnson
That's what I got from an actual CDPR employee, believe it or not. Apparently they're heavily understaffed at CDPR, literal interns are taking group leading positions.
They didn't confirm on who's doing Xbox ports, did they?
