this is the best sonic design
This is the best sonic design
best voice too
t. soap shill
Objectively incorrect
Shadow's running animation was the coolest shit. Why be the fastest thing alive when you can have an awesome skating animation instead?
Soap shoes were neat for a game, I wouldn't want them to actually replace his iconic shoes though. Also I prefer the original SA1 Sonic to SADX/SA2 sonic but that's just my preference.
no this is

So which is his worst design?
I feel like that's cheating though, what about game wise?
he's not as bad in-game, but this render is so awful holy shit
Forces. His body proportions were made smaller making him look really off putting, and they made shortened his spikes and altered the eyes for some reason. It's not terrible, but it's really off putting. He also looks super stiff and lifeless all the time. Someone on sonicretro made a detailed post noting everything changed with it compared to the last versions.
What's strange is that this sonic has significantly less polygons then Unleasheds models. That was 10 years ago. How the fuck
Probably his Boom design. I remember when it came out autists hated it everywhere.
For the most part though, Sonic usually has good designs. Even his worse ones are simple and nice to look at, which is why I hate 99% of the fan redesigns that add a bunch of clothing to the characters and make things more complicated then it needs to be. Personally, keeping the unique silhouette of his spines and body is more important than how his spines are rendered or what color his arms are.
classic sonic>colors classic sonic>garbage>literal shit>getting cancer>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>every other sonic in existence
now that you pointed it out you're right, his proportions are completely off what the fuck, how did they screw that up
my bad
God, they hit perfection. Just the right amount of pixels.
It's weird, I really like Amy's design in Boom and I think that style works with Tails too
I didn't think it looked THAT bad.
Those two characters are borderline untouched, tho. For them it's more like a Riders thing where they just have a mildly different outfit.
Like I said, I don't particularly hate them. I do dislike the decision to just add scarfs and bandages to the modern sonic cast instead of a proper redesign. That's just me though.
The sonic advance games are so soulful
How and why the fuck aren't these ported yet, they're so fucking good and they still hold up
am I bad person if I enjoyed the advance and rush games more than mania
in the show it looked okay, in the game and this screenshot you posted it looks awful.
I hate the way Sonic looks, the way everyone looks really, in Heroes. They look like shiny plastic-y action figures.
Probably Sonic Blast in my opinion
No, I think THIS is what you were looking for

The worst part is that the rest of the game looks pretty good. It has very pretty stages, just a step behind Unleashed and Colors. But everybody looks like they jumped into a tub of vaseline and play like it too.
>one random retard in his basement made a better sonic engine than fucking soinc team did in 25 years
what the hell is sega doing over there
Some of heroes levels were kind of lazy looking (Casino Park) but generally the art direction was great. Like they tuned into that surreality of early Sonic and made it 3D.
>A wild west themed level with sombero mountains and revolver carronades
I fucking love it
>iizuka had to single-handedly designed every sonic heroes level by himself because the other level designers got sick
He used to be so passionate about Sonic. What happened
heroes has badass concept art
No wonder the level design sucks.
hes been working with sega since the 90's id get tired of it too
>what the hell is sega doing over there

It's not that the level design sucks, the mandatory tag team conceptually wasn't very fun. Really hard to pull off. The safer route would've been a support character like a fighting game (or even Sonic Advanced 3)
Jumping from one airship to the next high in the upper atmosphere was the highlight of the whole game.
It's pretty good besides the shoes being retarded.
Neat how they used both the walkway with the cannons (For the fish ships) and the trench (For Final Fortress)
So you admit to being an autist.
the first time I played it I was confused about why he had some faggy looking new shoes that looked too complex. it wasn't until 15+ years later that I found out they're real life shoes that the game was advertising.
This is the best Sonic girl.

Toot Toot Sonic Warrior is on my playlist I listen to daily. I love Corny 90's Sonic lyrics. It's so feel good.
I'm pretty fond of Yamaguchi's Sonic desu
The only Sonic game that got close to the same type of surreality was Colors and Lost World. I think Lost Word took it too far though.
>very beautiful grassland meadows with a techbase running straight through it
Colors looked fucking amazing for a Wii game
To be fair he's a real dev now
Which pretty much guarantees Utopia will never be updated
Besides the obviously inspuired by galaxy level design the levels in Lost World were inoffensively bland. Blah blah Egypt blah blah volcano. I think Frozen Factory was the most interesting of the bunch even with the game inspiration being taken from Sonic 1's geometric grass and stuff.
Still I liked how bright and colorful it was (Like the trippy secret world). But Colors definitely did it better.
>wearing heels
Jesus what a fag
i wish sonic would grind down my erect cock like a rail with his cool soap shoes
>we still don't have a HD release
SEGA
All of the levels in Lost Word was just random geometric shapes with a random mario theme put on top. They tried way too hard to pander to Nintendo with it.
The only level theme I liked was Des(s)ert Ruins Act 3, which was still rather boring. At least it was a unique level theme that was fun for a bit.
