It's the best AC because it's the LEAST AC, though. What people really like about BF is the sailing part because they're too casual to get into a proper pirate game which lean more on the simulation side of things, like Age of Pirates 2 and such.

The game is terribly optimized. Looks mediocre but a gtx 1080 can barely keep it at 60 fps.

Opinion seems to be really polar so I think I'm gonna try it. Fortunately it is one of the games on switch that often goes on sale so you should be able to get it for a reasonable price if you decide to.

How does the age of the game's release date matter to you personally, if you have never played it and therefore it is brand new to you?

It's a fantastic pirate themed game, if you don't like the gameplay of other AC games then you might not enjoy it. But it scratches the pirate game itch that some people get every now and then.

Edward Kenway is also a great protag and the ending is actually super sad, albeit dragged out.

I had a 4770 when I last tried it. Upgraded to a 9700k, hopefully it will be enough to brute force through the game. I don't know why it's so cpu intensive. It's not like the crowds actually do complicated shit.

No, it's shit, it's barely any better than the trash heap that was 3 and it's vastly worse than 1 or the 2 trilogy was.

game was based AND redpilled. had a very kino ending. setting was absolutely amazing sailing around Caribbean with your own pirate ship and crew, fighting naval battles and forts and then the island exploration etc. Definitely worth it

I had a 660 Ti and i7-3700K when I played it and I could run it at 1080p 60fps high settings no problem.

it's arguably one of the better games, rogue is similar and has somewhat more refined sailing mechanics, as well as a northern setting to contrast the tropical setting in black flag, if that interests you. I say this because otherwise they're basically the same game and you will probably only need to play one

It didn't aged well. I won't recommend it. Same goes to Rogue - it's even more shit.
