Can you be a fan of a video game if you never played it before?
Can you be a fan of a video game if you never played it before?
>get called an incel on Yas Forums
>start getting self conscious about my virginity
>know it's not even a tranny/roastie calling me it but probably just another virgin shitposter trying to get me angry
>get angry anyways
How do I get over this? God fucking damn it. I'm 22 and my dad is putting pressure on me to lose it. I still live at home and depend on my parents and they know I'm not bringing any girls over. He's started calling me "Virgy" in public and around my friends instead of referring to me by my real name. It's getting annoying.
Fuck this gay earth
Discord boy stop trying to advertise yourself
The internet was a mistake.
>Discord trannies.
Just fuck your mom to put him in his place.
He can't call you out without being a hypocrite.
is this modified pasta? The virgy thing sounds familiar.
I like this pasta
>joker avatar
Tell him you're a zoophile. Everyone's going to be less ashamed.
You can be a fan of different aspects of the game like the music, characters, and story but not the game itself.
it sounds like the people in your life do not respect you, and you need to start getting violent.
kill yourself, you stupid sack of shit
Stop fucking replying to Virgy and talk about my thread you guys
Depends on the game. For a VN with no branching paths? Sure. For an action game? No
Yeah it's a pasta.
You can get a 7 or 8 out of 10 escort for ~$400-500 in most cities, and they'll usually be perfectly happy to have a first timer, because you're easy work. Just get over that hump, check off the milestone, and you'll feel better.
Don't get me wrong, sex is great, but honestly - you'll feel a little stupid for putting so much importance on it when you look back on this mindset with new eyes. It's not like the movies portray, and I'd honestly rather just masturbate anyways a good third of the time.
stop posting your faggot twitter
Fuck this world.
i mean, technically you can. you're gonna get looked down on by people who have though. rightfully so, too.
yes
>yep, i like the band's aesthetic, i've never listened to their songs tho, i'm a big fan anyway
that's how stupid you'd sound.
Sure you can. You just can't talk about it with any sort of authority and your opinions on it are worthless
But sure, you can still like it
putting aside the fact that it's a pasta, nobody in that situation actually cares about getting puss, they just want to get rid of the virgin title
Not very accurate. A game has enough layers to it that can actually be experienced separately from playing it. Band's don't really have a good equivalent to a soundtrack or walkthrough.
Not until you play it.
dude your father molested you didnt he
Warren Ellis has never played a Castlevania game before and look what happened now.
Sure, you can be a fan. But your opinion on it is almost entirely useless.
But you can like a bands aesthetic and not like their music. Someone might like how Kiss dresses up and their theatrics but not the songs.
Zoomers were a mistake. People who watch a game and get their opinions from it instead of actually playing the game and forming their own opinions are the worst and deserve the rope.
No. You can only be a fan of a video game that you've played, only zoomers think otherwise
source before the thread goes up?
Sadly Yas Forums is full of people who never played a game and only watched playthroughs.
Okay
Now make an argument without the strawman
what is it about P5 that attracts so many twitter and discord shitters
nop, we're talking about what really matter, secondaries things are just a plus and could never be considered a replacement of the primary thing nor associated to it, if you have no fucking idea of what the primary thing is.
I can also separate a band into different layers, but there it always be the most important layer that it'll rule over the others, and it doesn't matter how much "value" you give to the other layers, at the end they just don't work separately.
yeah, but you're not a fan.
play the game, lazyfuck
normalfag game
I agree that wouldn't make me a fan of the band at that point, I'd be a fan of their aesthetic. Just like my original point in where you can be a fan of a particular games soundtrack but that doesn't make you a fan of the game itself.
You can, but your opinion is naturally significantly less informed than that of someone who's actually played it.
Apparently you can also be a fan of a video game series if you only watched a shitty Netflix adaptation of it.
Fan of story or graphics or music? Yes
Fan of gameplay or the game as a whole? No.
These parts work together, i'm not saying that you can't be, technically speaking a fan of the ost of a game, but it's better to enjoy all these things as a whole. Besides many of these people who are "fan" the game act like they are real fans, no wonder why all Yas Forums threads about certain games are just plagued by waifus and memes. They never played it, they just saw it played by their favourite streamers and even then, they dare to give their stupid opinions and about the game.
no
A fan would play the game.
Sure, everything was designed together to be a complete package. There's also scenarios of liking a games soundtrack, aesthetic, or characters but you actually have zero desire to play the game because it's shit or in a genre you don't like. I love Darkengard for it's crazy story and characters but man is that game really not that good. I still beat it but fuck man does the game play really not do everything else justice. It bogs down the complete package and the series could have possibly been better as a different medium or simply a better game.
False Equivalency. Minus 10 yards.
It's fitting because football is a game that has an industry of fans that don't play the game.
People on Yas Forums talk shit about games they've never played before, so I suppose the opposite can be true.
This. Even with barriers like platform exclusivity, if you call yourself a fan of something I would expect you to make a serious attempt to play it. I've seen people do the "I can't afford it" argument before and it's bullshit. Especially when it's about something like Undertale that's both cheap as fuck and acessible.
This shitty "hobby" needs to die already, full of fake niggers
Why the fuck do you keep posting this?
>I'm a fan of this one band
>Have you listened to them?
>No
>I'm a fan of this one movie
>Have you watched it?
>No
>I'm a fan of this one book
>Have you read it?
>No
>I'm a fan of this one game
>have you played it?
>No
Dumb jew, it's pasta
I can appreciate fighting games and what people do with them. I enjoy watching them played. I don't play them at all because its not my style of video game. I might of liked them if i grew up with them, but I didn't. You can 100% be a fan of something without actually playing it
how long have you waited to post this?
Persona 5 really doomed us all innit
Like maybe if it was a $900 japanese-only game released on the Sega Saturn and has no fan translation patch so the only reasonable way to experience the game is through a youtube video from a hardcore enthusiast that overlayed english subs he made himself. Otherwise why would you be a big ass fan of something and not want to actually experience it. It's just contradictory.
I like metal gear, I haven’t played any of the games aside from revengence, I wouldn’t say I’m a metal gear fan, or so, but I would say that I like the series and would like to play it
Nope
have sex
no?
You also can be a fan of a fighting game if you only watch tournaments or only play with AI.
RENT
FREE
Not really since you're just watching some jackass on twitch play it
Barring some kind of physical disability or server shutdown I don't understand why you wouldn't play a game you say you're a fan of.
Just fucking pirate it if you're that much of a poorfag.
Yes. Suck it, niggers.
How are teenagers meant to afford ~$300 for a new console or PC? A job sounds obvious but giving up your weekend at that age is tough when it’s not necessary. I know from experience when I waited about a year and a half to finally play minecraft despite being a fan since alpha.
No. I'm going to say that liking a character != liking the game or makes you a fan of the game. I love Palutena cause I've played her since Smash 4 but I'm never going to touch a Kid Icarus game and I'm never gonna flaunt that I'm some kind of fan of the games either. I think people aren't able to make that distinction in nuance.
Depends on the game.
I don't think you can be a fan of a game like Super Mario 64 just from watching it, but in games like Persona 5 and Undertale the story, characters, and aesthetic are a very large part of why they have such large fanbases. So people watching playthroughs of those games get 70-80% of the experience, and become fans. I understand it.
Fandoms are below garbage in value so I have no issue with this.
I disagree on RPGs even more so than other games.
I couldnt imagine getting engrossed in a story while some faggot eceleb overreacts to it.
And if you arent getting sucked into the characters or story why even play a JRPG?
