So what's the point of this, narratively speaking? It's non canon to Scramble, yet it ends on a cliffhanger ending. Is the Royal timeline gonna be it's own series?
Whyyyyy?

What's the cliffhanger?

m.youtube.com/watch?v=eM-nl79FRlU

Are you really saying that the only thing that matters about narrative is continuity?

Joker leaves town on a train instead of a van with the crew and he sees Akechi out the window before seeing a reflection of himself in his phantom thief outfit in the window

I mean, who gives a shit if it was all a dream in the end?

They shat out this redux as fast as possible due to the P5 spinoffs continually bombing. Probably crammed in the cliffhanger ending in case the overlords insisted on a season pass or expansion DLC.

As money grubbing as modern Atlus has been, have they ever done story content DLC? I mean, why would they, when they can just resell you the entire game a second time like they just did with Royal?

> the P5 spinoffs continually bombing.
what p5 spinoffs

They kiiinda did that with SMTIV. The main thing was acquiring the demons, but there's some very light story before them battles that link it to the main story. And Apocalypse had a what-if scenario map with Nanashi and three other mainline SMT heroes.

This. Imagine caring about continuity in Persona. Imagine caring about continuity in a fucking Megami Tensei game of all things.

Not him but Dancing and PQ2
What they need to make is a P5 Arena

>Rhytmn games are niche as fuck
>Release an EO clone on a handheld at the end of its life
>BUT EVERYBODY LOVE P5 WHY ARE THEY BOMBING

Gee I wonder why they didn't sell well.

>yet it ends on a cliffhanger ending
No it doesn't?
Anne moves to America to be a model, Ryuji transfers to a new school to join its track team, Haru becomes the new CEO of her dad's company, Makoto goes to college to study to become a cop, Futaba starts going to school, Yusuke becomes a proper artist, Akechi is still dead, Sumire figures out that her sister Kasumi is dead and she's actually Sumire, and Maruki becomes a taxi driver.
What about this is a cliffhanger?

That's the normal ending not the true ending.

>It's non canon to Scramble
According to who?

Worked for P4
Pretty sure P4 dancing and PQ did exponentially better than their P5 counterpart

>P5 spinoffs continually bombing.
What are you talking about?
P5S is doing well and P5R is best selling persona re-release.

Akechi?

>All these people getting the wrong ending and then going online to complain about it
It's like P4 vanilla all over again.

Yeah, which is why I didn't say those but said PQ2 and P5 Dancing instead. Hello?

Why do you lie on the internet?

He's not lying though. P5R doesn't have a true ending.
The Akechi thing is just to appease his fans since he supposedly spilt the fandom.

P5S wasn't billed as a spinoff specifically because the spinoffs have been bombing. They have been calling it a sequel for months. Problem is, if you compare Scramble's sales with Persona 5, an actual sequel, you'll see it fails in that metric as well. Something like 340k for P5 and 170k for Scramble.

They want to spin P5 as a sequel but also judge its success based on the expectations of a spinoff, which is pretty hypocritical.

Pancake boy actually having fuck buddy social link is of outmost importance to the narrative.

According to the fact that nothing from P5R is in Scramble.

Just go ahead and skip to the last minute
m.youtube.com/watch?v=vP2PiohLdQI

But P5R is mentioned in Scramble

...

see

I don't care about P5 and any of it's non cross-over spin-offs, I want a fucking P3 Remake and a fighting game with actual story in it.

Do you REALLY want modern Atlus to do another fighting game with story, considering how utterly retarded Ultimax turned out to be?

Sumire left for her gymnast career and Maruki went MIA after being defeated in the first place before coming back as a taxi driver and then disappearing again.

Scramble has R's soundtrack and references the individual characters' story arc conclusions that were added in the new chapter of R.

Your word doesn't mean shit

No it doesn't

Okay then i’ll post the devs word :)

I don't give a shit at this point.
I just want to see old characters being actual adults doing adult shit. I even liked ULTIMAX because it had coach Junpei in it and that was enough for me.
I already hate this P5 milking. The game just came out yet again, but they continue to recycle the same characters from it. I am already bored, they should give us a break from them before giving this much more useless content.

Bunch of pussies

Ultimax was fantastic

Only if you're one of those retards who ironically worship Adachi.

yes it does. go play the game user

How long did it take you to make that?

cope

Scramble is a sequel to Royale not the OG

P4A was really smart with the whole "Labrys had to kill her friends, so her dungeon made friends fight each other" thing, and then Ultimax had to throw in that absolutely fucking RETARDED shit with Sho and "he was watching everyone the WHOLE TIEM GAIZ WHOOOAAAAAAAH HE'S GOT THE WILD CARD NOW" and ruined it all.

They could easily retcon Scramble to be a part of Royal’s universe.
>maruki is off doing whatever
>kasumi is abroad
>akechi is MIA
It makes sense for them not to appear in Scramble.

I forgot that he was in Ultimax

The P3 stuff was great

Some retard probably decided this was the best way to test the waters for a switch port of persona 5. Of course it inevitably flopped on switch because it was the direct sequel to a game they couldn't play.
Or if I were to indulge in conspiracy theories it was perhaps less incompetentce and more malice, some Nintendo hater at Atlus did this knowing it would flop on switch to convince the higher ups that a switch port of persona 5 was a bad idea.

Did you not see last week's Famitsu interview? They said that they put it on the Switch because Switch owners can just watch the anime to catch up.

Sho never got the wildcard tho. He isn't even a persona user himself.

The P3 stuff in the first Arena was great. In Ultimax they nerfed the shit out of SEES to the point that they were useless to the story, while simultaneously buffing the Investigation Team so hard even their navigator could fight. Just kinda irks me the team that could momentarily bring Death to a halt end up jobbing to the P4 cast and their "HEHE LET'S KILL THIS GOD BEFORE SENPAI LEAVES TOWN!" bullshit.

It happen with P4G as well, in Dancing All Night Marie is just a dlc cameo and none of the Golden only events are acknowledged in the story mode.

On the bright side it's P4's turn to job to the phantom thieves when they make a new fighter.

>Video game developers: "lmao just watch the anime bro."

I definitely remember Igor or someone saying he was going to be a future guest of the Velvet Room or something. Like, maybe it didn't HAPPEN but it was hinted at. And then it never went anywhere. Just like Elizabeth ACTUALLY getting the Wild Card and saying she was going to get a squad together to save Door-kun

Attached: 1420342993944.png (580x356, 59.24K)

P4D barely has any story. And if Marie actually showed up in it you faggots would have complained about her being forced in once again.
She appears in both PQ and P4U games, that's enough already.

They said it about Elizabeth. The only thing that was mentioned about Sho is that "we'll probably meet again" and that's it.

Is a damn shame about PQ2 because while gameplay wise is far better than Q and plot was falls off quickly just like p5 still had great potential and should have sold better

Marie shows up in Ultimax, and that's canon. Golden definitely happened. Q is also canon for some fucking reason

this is bait

Why bait, PQ1 plot is way better and structured than PQ2, but the gameplay on Q2 is better.

To add to this Atlus made the bone headed decision to release P3D and P5D simultaneously for the same price. Its no wonder sales were shit, not only is it a niche genre but they also cannibalized each others sales.

They should have released just P3D and fleshed it out as much as they could.
Because what we got is both games being pretty meh and the P5 one being somehow worse because it has no music or content (no spin-offs/re-releases to take music and costumes from unlike P3).

>watching persona 5: The Quality
youtu.be/E-rib1T5lfg
switch fags have a fate worse than death

None of the Persona animes have good animation
