Why was this movie so cringe?

Is it me or original HD-DVD had way less motion blur and all the action was actually discernible. Complete seems like all blur during action scenes.

Because it has a garbage plot that adds nothing to the series and doesn't need to exist, adds 3 new unnecessary villains that epitomise square's anime bullshit phase and overall only exists in order to milk fanservice sales from fans who just want to see their favorite characters in pretty graphics.

Honestly is one of my favorite garbage movies. Even when it is completely unnecessary, I think it's enjoyable as a sequel to what happened in the world post Shinra. Also the soundtrack is kino.

Because the plot is retarded. Somehow Sephiroth split himself into like three people and then they all merged to form a complete Sephiroth but we also know that Sephiroth merged with the lifestream so he can do all kinds of stupid shit. Also Cloud is even more emo and faggoty than usual in AC. He lived with Tifa but was a faggot about it.

The ending scene with Zack and Aerith was kino and the only cool shot in the movie. I guess Cloud's Omnislash was cool as well.

I saw advent children before I played FF7 and had no idea what the fuck was happening
I then played FF7 then rewatched AC and still had no idea what the fuck was happening in the movie

I replayed DoC just last year and the story is such fucking garbage. I remember it being at least passable compared to Crisis Core's fanfiction-tier plot, but it's even worse.

It's amazing that every spinoff spawned from FF7 was just horrendous in every regard, all in completely different ways.
