In my opinion it gets better the more you play it.
Character Action meaning that it places a lot more focus on the character's core skills and attributes. The emphasis being that you have to stylish and the use the character to perform skillful moves. Only CUHRAZY games do that. Like Metal Gear Rising, Bayonetta and DMC.
I wish I felt that way. Several missions feel tedious to me, and I don't really care for how the game handles higher difficulties either. It's a good game either way, and the fact I enjoy playing it despite the shit that bothers me just goes to show how good the stuff it excels at is.
DMC5 was a depressing disappointment.
The graphics and Dante gameplay were great, but the art style and V/Nero gameplays are lame. And the story is retarded. And music sucks.

For what purpose. Sexual tones since DMC1 are a tongue in cheek thing in the background never meant to be shoved in your face(OST song titles), and yeah there's fan service here and there but that's worlds apart to characters going at it on screen. Notice how Dante never drops a single F bomb throughout DMC5? How fast do you think they'll ruin that in the animated series? The dub for the old show did and it fucking sucked.
