Yeah I've been thinking about swapping it and Illbleed, which is currently my tenth favorite game. CV3 has way too many autoscrollers and annoying parts, what's good in it is really good though.

that's some solid taste although valkyrie profile is shit since it has awful platforming and the latter dungeons are platforming based, plus the dungeon design is mostly shit; the biggest value the game has is the unique concept of recruiting dead people and also sending them to odin at the end of each in-game day but that's not enough to save the entire game

Don't be afraid to look up a tutorial for the basic gameplay as it's really poorly explained in game. Once you understand it though I wouldn't look up any other information about the game as playing it blind is definitely the best way to experience it.

Hitman is cool but too unorthodox to represent the genre, and Blood Money isn't even the best pre-Absolution one (way too easy). Chaos Theory is too linear and simple to be considered.

I really have no idea what missions you think are so bad in II's second half. Life of the Party, Casing the Joint/Masks, and the finale are all incredible.

Why do you like Gears Judgement specifically?
Never really got into that one though I played a lot of 1 and 2.
