After ACNH releases.

Furukawa shut down the Nintendo Direct initiative.

cancelled due to corona

Why though? They don't typically care if there's a big release around the corner. Especially when they could have dropped a direct in January or February. They delayed for three extra months for one game?

Animal Crossing was the direct. See you at E3!

RIGHT HERE

Unironically this.

I can tell you three things.
There is a man in a smiling bag.
The owls are not what they seem.
Without chemicals, he points.

Animal Crossing was the Direct. See you at E3!

E3 is not happening

he wouldn't be that dumb
right?

If you read the latest investor's meeting he lowkey admits to it.

This.
>Nintendo of America telling their employees to work from home
>Olympics might be canceled
>E3 might be canceled

They don’t have anything to show.

This is the most likely thing and it fucking sucks

I just want another mii-based game, Damn it, you all might shit on me for wanting it, but I crave the open-opportunity gameplay.

I NEED A DIRECT EVERY WEEK NINTENDO
MAKE MY MARIO FASTERRRRR

I love Nintrndo games but holy fuck its like you people (kids) don't understand that making games takes time.

It's just one autist spamming this in all the threads.

If the NoA employees being officially encouraged to telework somehow hasn't made it obvious, it's goddamn coronavirus. I'm just amazed it's taken this long for any part of Nintendo to finally publicly acknowledge corona.

Wait a minute...

There have been 3 direct-like presentations this year, why is specifically the general direct that gets affected by Corona?

Next week

nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2020/200202e.pdf
spoilers that user is bullshitting

Probably not cancelled, just postponed. But Corona-chan is probably the reason.

To play devil's advocate,
>AC was nearly complete, possibly already done for months now
>Smash was only digital content for an already released game
>Pokémon SwSh is the same deal
>Pokemon Rescue Team DX was also done or near done when revealed
Everything else that we know of besides Xenoblade was probably already planned for much later even before corona. Xenoblade and Fighter Pack 6 are the only things I can see still being able to come soon.

>Where is it?
Yeah, where the fuck's our Nintendo containment board?

Dont you american pigs have Twitter? Smartphones are the best thing ever, and we make sure to retweet one meme a day. That should suffice!

Smash gets pre recorded from time to time, from there it's footage editing. AC direct had no live narration or anything, so it could have easily been done ahead of time considering it was released a month before AC's release.

>Olympics might be canceled
hopefully

Coronavirus wasn't as big a deal in early/mid January when the Pokemon and Smash presentations aired, and the latter was shot months in advance before the virus was even a thing.
It also makes sense that a Direct focused on one game (e.g. Pokemon and Animal Crossing) would present fewer problems, since there aren't nearly as many people involved or nearly as many games/etc to show off. If just one thing goes wrong they might have to adjust the entire general Direct.

Keep crying snoy

Listen up you retard:
You are on Yas Forums, a videogame board. Most of us here only own a Nintendo console for Nintendo games. Indies are a nice bonus and portable western AAA games are fine for those that care. However, Switch owners usually only care for Nintendo games.
And ussually, we had one direct each 3 month. At least during Iwata's reign. Now we experience the biggest drought in terms of news. I havent touched my system since January.

Normal directs are literally the same way though, they are all prepared for months, it's not like this shit is put together in a week

no cu do padre

These specific Directs only covered a couple items.
>Byleth and Mii Costumes are available Jan 28
>Pokemon Rescue Team released in March, SwSh DLC 1 for summer, DLC 2 for winter
>Animal Crossing's date was set in stone before the Direct IIRC, it was just game details
Easy, right? Now, assuming a full sized general Direct, imagine having to juggle dozens of announcements that have suddenly become extremely precarious due to being further down the pipeline and thus less finished. And then many of these announcements also aren't even your own.

Nothing beats the hype sensation when a smash reveal...collides with a direct!

Nintendo Switch has no games. Feels good to be a playstation chad.

SURELY this month.
Right?

Because the china shutdown likely (definitely) affected cartridge manufacturing so release dates are sitting in limbo until they figure it out.

Ps4 has so little good game you have to pretend to actually like Nioh 2.

Up your butt and around the corner.

TURN ON CHANNEL 7
RIGHT NOW

HOLY SHIT

Why are you so desperate to watch advertisements?

>WUB A LUB A DUB DUB MORTY I-I-ITS JUST A COMMERCIAL MORTY I'M SO EFFIN CYNI*burp*CYNICALLY REDUCTIVE HAHA

Because all the games were postponed to make mobileshit.
I don't think they would be dumb enough to cancel the games but they could easily put them on the back burner.

>See you at E3
It's gonna get cancelled because of corona

animal crossing was the direct, see you at e3!

>Why do you want to see new games getting announced?
Hmm, I wonder...

>Because all the games were postponed to make mobileshit
So is this also the reason we had huge game droughts on both the Wii and Wii U, because Nintendo was making mobileshit?
Man, Nintendo has been making the transition to mobile gaming for a whole decade
That pretty impressive

Good, it's been shit for the past 2-3 years now

Wu Flu won't kill us all but it sure is making life inconvinient.

>see you at e3!

About that...

>Why are you so desperate for video games
I have no clue
It's almost as if these people like video games

Attached: 1528766873975.png (528x800, 310.77K)

>tfw this shitty virus will cancel almost every event to prevent more cases so now I can't even shitpost about the e3 direct

>don't learn about upcoming products
>just consume whatever shit gets released

Is coronavirus really that bad? It's only killing like 2% of the people that get it, right? That's only slightly worse than the actual flu. It seems to be putting the entire industry on hold.

/cvg/ is more fun anyways

Whatever the numbers are it got China to stop working, and China NEVER stops working.
