I don't have a problem with owning things, I have a huge film collection, but I have a problem with owning garbage.

Really just looking for dumb fun to play with a group of friends. My friends dont play video games too much but they like hanging out in my game room, and I just like owning weird/obscure games.

Video games are garbage? How are video games different from movies? You're actually using the thing you're collecting, unlike stamp or coin collectors, so you do get something out of it besides just owning something cool.

I regret my youth trading in 3 ps or ps2 games for one game. I stopped taking games to gamestop when i got my first job.
Not worth it in the end. Some of those games i traded away are worth way more now than they were on launch.

I understand wanting to support local businesses, but retro game stores deserve to die when they charge double or more what you pay online for the same thing. I have never in my life found a brick and mortar shop that had prices even remotely competitive with online stores.

Actually the one im at matches ebay's sold listings or takes 5% off of what ebay is selling if the game is above $50. Its probably just the greaseballs in your area that have no clue what theyre doing thinking Mario / Duck Hunt is worth a lot
