Ignoring weapons, since they mainly fight with fists, wouldn't it make sense to have both fighters wear light clothing/no armour? At least that way they have a chance of actually causing damage to the opponent

The real problem with MK11 was trying to unlock all the outfits and cosmetic stuff. Everything was complete cancer made so you would spend hundreds of hours on it.
No one likes the stupid variations either. Just give us all of the moves and make the cool looking ones actually good. The animations for things are also still awkward too.

I went back to play X last night and I forgot how crummy MKX ranked was.
