doesn't fit into the nether at all, they should have either made them more alike to the current nether or made those freaky biomes a lot rarer

Minecraft has never been balanced, especially armor. It's either borderline-worthless or god mode. Leather armor gives you the equivalent of 4 extra hearts, while enchanted diamond gives you about 200.

I don't like it. Diamond was always the one to work towards, but if you weren't careful, you could easily lose all of your equipment. With netherite, they're effectively rewarding carelessness, especially in the Nether itself since it doesn't burn up in lava.

I'm at least glad that diamonds are still traditionally required to make the strongest gear. Kinda glad they're adding another official ore to the Nether as well

after you get fully enchant diamond lava barely does any damage anyway. dying from anything with full diamond is pretty fucking rare

It takes hours, yes, but all you have to do is build a tunnel at a certain y level and just keep digging.

You probably haven't played in a long time. They increased the rate diamonds spawn a while back and its not particularly hard anymore.

no, retard? literally just start jumping shipwrecks and treasure maps and you'll get diamonds out the ass without even mining, and if it comes to mining you go to Y11 and mine 1H3V shafts branching every 8 and you'll 100% find diamonds within 20 minutes

Ancient debris takes forever to find and it doesn't improve that much over diamonds. It will take you hours of digging in a very boring environment and countless iron picks just to find 1 or 2 blocks. It's a novelty that isn't worth it for most players.

It's alright. What's actually not good is how the new wood isn't renewable. The wart blocks NEED to break up into fungus the same way you get flint so silk touch and fortune actually mean something on hoes. The way nylium spreads isn't good too, because you need to have bonemeal every time you want a new tree for regrowing the nylium AND growing the sapling. It should at least spread on mycelium.

I hope they allow you to use the Smithing Table to upgrade all the other Tools & Armor. Then players wouldn't have to save their 30+ Experience for when they get Diamond stuff. You can just upgrade your shit. Plus it'd give all those random gold/wood/stone enchanted tools dropped by Mobs more use by upgrading them.

The highest quality general purpose mods are always updated to the latest version within a day. For tc mods generally they use 1.12.2, but that doesn't really matter because in the current day you really have no reason at all to be installing mods manually, the huge tc mods like hexxit have their own launcher, most everything else is on twitch, it makes an installation of the correct version for you automatically.

i like it. doesn't make diamonds utterly useless since it's in the nether, and you DO need diamond tools to make netherite tools. feels more like ng+ loot than end-game loot

Why the fuck did they make netherite grey? it looks too similar to stone tools. At least tint the tools red or purple, or literally ANY color to identify it as endgame equipment.
