One of the biggest problems I have is that while he makes good games, he blends narrative in through pretty much the dullest and most uninteresting way possible using the medium. It's just cutscenes and audio logs. Maybe an NPC yelling exposition in your ear if he's feeling creative. And I feel like he's only getting worse and worse over time. It's really holding the industry back with his refusal to embrace the medium.
