Fucking love the combat system in this game.
Once you figure out the timing it's really satisfying to chain attacks, dodges and blocking at the right time.

old good, new bad, simple as

right looks more fun to me desu

Why not just make a different game if you're going to change the combat into some fluff pseudo rpg bullshit

They did make a different game.

Yeah you're right. So why the fuck are they calling it Final Fantasy 7?

Is every new game gonna have a dedicated shitposting squads around it? Is it a new sport? Is it even fun? Fucking baffling to me. I still remember that Witcher 3 shitposter that shat up the threads for 3 years straight.

I mean, if you like watching arena change sequences, I guess left is to be preferred.

>new game

Attached: 1555268799026.jpg (465x388, 48.19K)

It basically is since it's trying to be its own version of FF7 by switching up some stuff.

You mean random encounters you fucking zoomer retard?

The idea that you're on post-ironic 4channel and expecting genuine communication is what's really baffling.

Attached: 1583478824269.jpg (2272x1984, 1.23M)

Maybe it should be it's own game instead of manipulating nostalgia

>zoomer retard
I'm 100% sure I'm older than you. I also played FF7 about 20 years ago. Random encounters aren't fun and something I've grown to realize.

ok boomer now get the fuck out of here right is much more fun

Why can't it be both?

>pressing one button is fun
gurl gamer detected

>Random encounters aren't fun
For you, and your pleb ass

To be fair, majority of the original FF7 is just spamming the regular attack unless it is a boss or a special kind of enemy.

Because if you don't remake FF7 the way it was originally made then what the fuck is the purpose other than to cash grab from nostalgia? This is a watered down version of a quality base product.

>For you, and your pleb ass
Yes, it isn't fun for me. I can stomach it, but I don't find it fun. If I wanted a FF7 with random encounters again, I'd just play the original like a 10th+ time.

right is better
t. 33 y/o

>majority of the original FF7 is just spamming the regular attack unless it is a boss or a special kind of enemy
Uh huh, did you actually play the game faggot?

>Because if you don't remake FF7 the way it was originally made then what the fuck is the purpose
To make a remake? It's in the name, remake.

I did, otherwise I wouldn't have said that.

>I can stomach it, but I don't find it fun
That's because you're a pleb that needs shiny meaningless hack and slash to keep his jelly brain entertained

I guess from the ground up huh? Just replace the entire core gameplay and feeling and it's still FF7 right? To who? The fucking plebs that won't care a week later? What about the people that actually enjoyed this game? Maybe wanted another RPG?

Why the fuck can Square make DQ11 but can't make a turn based Final Fantasy again?

I have more turn based and games with random encounters than hack'n'slash games though. Actually, the vast majority of my collection consists of it. But I personally prefer being able to avoid battles when I don't want to fight rather than having random encounters.

>But I personally prefer being able to avoid battles when I don't want to fight rather than having random encounters.
And that makes you a fucking pleb. Do you understand that? That type of shit ruined DQ8 on the 3DS for me

>Why the fuck can Square make DQ11 but can't make a turn based Final Fantasy again?
Because square has more producers than one. Also, the combat is hardly what defined FF7.

And you can have that opinion. Just because you call me pleb, I won't change my opinion on it.

How do you post such garbage opinions?

SEETHE more retard.

Do you not understand the purpose of a remake? It is to make a different game in many ways that has the plot of the original.
Clearly what you want is a remaster, not a remake.

The cycle of autism, the faggot has no life whatsoever. He does this on other boards too.

Complaining about a remake having different combat or otherwise different mechanics is the dumbest possible thing ever. You can still play the original. It's literally the best possible case that a remake is different enough that there is reason to play both games because they are not the same.
If a remake was identical to the original, it would kill any purpose in ever playing the worse looking original.

keep the original gameplay then instead of listening to marketing research that takes opinion from retarded brainlets.

Why?

By making it unoriginal, boring and automated action game with no distinct visual design.

>this ""argument"" again
The 2002's REmake is still the golden standard and the holy grail of all REmakes:
Extremely true to original, improved visually by a great deal, and gameplay-wise expanded and polished in order to make the experience fresh.
And nobody calls that a "remaster".

>And nobody calls that a "remaster".
Because the game was remade from the ground and added stuff and added new gameplay element the original didn't have.

They're not it's called Final Fantasy 7 Remake.

Why are nips such fedora-wearing faggots?

Because right field is wrong on some of the things.

>Is every new game gonna have a dedicated shitposting squads around it? Is it a new sport?
How new are you?
This has been the case for years, fucking autistic zoomers trying way too hard to fit into "le epic Yas Forums mentality". Calling everything new and or popular, shit thinking it makes them cool and edgy.
At this point genuine vidya conversation in here is barely a memory for certain and a myth for others.

>Because the game was remade from the ground and added stuff and added new gameplay element the original didn't have.
Exactly. And that's exactly the kind of PROPER remake everyone has wanted for their favorite classic games for 2 decades now.

>Its easy
Yes, it is the tutorial level to the game, I think that justifies the lack of difficulty in the demo, but that's my opinion
>can be beaten with one button and using heals after battles
the one button criticism holds up for games like Bamham and Shadow of ORCMODE WHEN? because it illustrates flaws that aren't fixed by making harder enemies, the combat system they have for FF7R isn't flawed at its core like those other games.

My personal criticisms are
>difficult to distinguish enemies from the environment at times
>damage numbers exasperate this
>circle to evade, square to attack, left bumper/trigger and right trigger for the abilities menu sure, but x for the menu and right bumper to block seems counter intuitive
>little to no telegraph of enemy attacks except through the name/hp bar above them

I only quickly browsed the pause menu so feel free to correct me.

>PROPER
There is no established "proper" way to remake a game. It all depends on what the developers want the game to be. Remakes differ from game to game.

>can be beaten with one button and using heals after battles
FFVII original can be beaten like that but i wonder why people dont like to that and prefer to use magic and other skills...mMMMMM....maybe they know they have other tools to make the fight easier/faster

I wonder why they arent doing the same now...MMMMMMMMMMMMM

This is something I've questioned too why no one points out spamming regular attacks until you encounter a special enemy or a boss is a completely valid and effective method to play in the original or even almost any final fantasy in the franchise.

I knew I felt like something was missing on the remake.

where's the victory pose?! fuck, at least add a button that let us do that for fun!

is that confirming proxies are useless, mods can idntify you anyway

>pseudo rpgs
just like literally every final fantasy? they've done well then

>pseudo rpg
Are you trying to say FF7 is not a pseudo RPG compared to games such as DnD?

Are you agreeing with me or mocking me?

Attached: 1555478170673.png (431x431, 113.36K)

agreeing with you
yeah it kinda sounds like im replying ironically but im agreeing

Its just that i read that quote, and it kinda reminded me of that.

I think he is mocking you.

you pick a turn based jrpg with fixed camera and turn it into an action jrpg with a full 3D environment and non-fixed camera, then you take away a big chunk of the soul from the original game, you cut the overworld out, you cut the exploration of said overworld out and replace everything with cutscenes made with the game engine, you make it episodic and pay shills to sell the game and the DLCs paired up with figurines, time to profit bois

Attached: 954809503.jpg (1440x1440, 107.82K)

We haven't reached a part where an overworld even exists. Or is this a leak?

Not really a fan of how the remake plays, but would've been perfectly okay with it if the game was actually the entirety of FF7 instead of one small section in the overall plot of FF7. I don't care how long they pad it out, I don't care how many shills come out and say "ITS A FULL GAME I SWEAR IT!", its still a full priced $60 game with an incomplete plot, probably going to be super padded out unnecessarily. You can buy the original game for a fraction of the price and get a game that has the entire plot in it from day one instead of years apart.

I think it has more to do with me being used to these kind of things with not one game series of .Hack, but two.

Ah, alright. It was taking me a bit is all.

I think its assuming the worst on his part.
