depends on which is more fun in that game
if ive never played before then probably warrior because that has the least chance of being designed poorly by the devs

Fighter is what most games are designed around first when they have these options. Afterwards mage. Almost never thief.

Spellsword.

Fighter when I start, then by late game I'm a magic knight. Second play through I start as a mage then turn into a magic knight. I like magic knights

Why havent they managed to make the sneaky melee archetype useful in any tes game?

I exclusively play sexually liberated, bisexual (but mostly lesbian) witches.

Thief usually has the most utility with stealing, traps, lockpicking, backstabbing, etc. Since I'm going to be doing a lot of inventory management I might as well be the thief. Doesn't much matter in nuTES games since a orc berserker can be the wizard guildmaster without even casting a spell.

I made my own version called Casterblade. I dont remember what I changed.

Rolle

Usually fighter unless magic is especially fun

Let's find autistic errors in this image
>Fencer is more roguish than Pugilist
>Druid has no thief skills at all
>Monk is more wizard than thief
>Ninja has some magic
>Bard is at the middle, when it should be more on the left
>Cleric is where Blue Mage should be
>Blue Mage is where Red Mage should be
>Red Mage is where Cleric should be
>Templar has way more magic than Dark Knight
>Adventurer as a class
>Magician has less magic than Alchemist
>Bandit has less fighter skill than Archer
>Strider has more magic than Poisoner
>Highwayman has less fighter than Cutpurse

thief, though stealth usually sucks in rpgs so end up as a weird hybrid

If the magic is fun, mage. If quick attacks are more effective than strong attacks and if ranged combat is properly done, rogue.

In many cases, fighter or fighter-based is my go to.

Spellsword Chads Assemble.

requesting the image that complains about all the bows

i always want to go wizard but magic usually just sucks so i go fighter and it feels based

Give me something cool, please

>furry hippy
FUCK

>Fighter is usually boring
>Mage is more about item management than actual skill
>Thief can either be too good or too shit depending on game mechanics
So I mostly go with thief first playthrough, and then I'll swap to fighter mid-game or at the end, depending on how the game works
Third playthrough is mage, always. This is usually the point where I don't even finish the game anymore.
If hybrid classes allowed, I'd never touch fighter.
I'd go Rogue (archery based), Paladin, Mage, Rogue/mage

Sword Mage
Mages that use only spells related to swords.

>furry
Animism is about everything being animate. So maybe you want to fuck animals, but you also want to fuck rocks, trees, tiles, gems, armor, weapons, other people, yourself, the air itself and so on. It is the omnifetish.

Rolling for my dream

Adventurer is legitimate and could be considered a jack of all trades, equally good with a bow, blade or spell even if they are limited to lower tiers of their respective class, with more core elements involved they’ll probably be good at cooking and setting up a camp with minor defenses, act as a scout, etc. I could go on but I think this will suffice

>playing melee
tip top kek

Adventurer is not a class. What's next? "Protagonist" class? "Support character" class? "Enemy" class? It's retarded. "Adventurer" is the typical name for "no class" characters.

...

When I was a kid I always picked Mage, but these days I always pick Fighter.
Subtlety is over-rated and I hate the frailty that always comes with wielding magic. My ideal power fantasy is "Kick in the door to your enemies stronghold and slaughter your way to your objective while shrugging off whatever puny attacks hit you" or also "me hit very hard."

Let's see.

Based bard doing a little of everything.

I just choose whatever is the most fun
Fighters are fun when you feel like an unkillable god or dish out cuhrazy CC
Mages are fun when they have flashy spells
Thieves are fun when they dodge tank and get big dick crits

Some games do it better than others so it really just depends

gimme something

I am the biggest fighter

And your suggestion for an appropriate name is what exactly. You’ve basically said it yourself, it’s a term used to describe someone who isn’t the generic archetype. You can have knights who may not go on adventures, clerics which do not go on adventures, etc etc

I mostly use a stealth character to start out with because fighters usually can beat most enemies without too much forethought. I want to need to plan out my encounters. After a while I introduce a bit of magic to up my power for stronger enemies

What the fuck are you talking about? classes are literally archetypes...
You can't have a knight that "doesn't go on adventures", because that would mean you're not even playing the game
>And your suggestion for an appropriate name is what exactly
Appropiate name for what? A "no class" class? Retardery.

rolls

Fuck it you’re right, I’ll just name the class Dude on a Highway from now on. Perhaps you should consider that you might be the autistic one.

Warlock

Thief because I really like the aesthetic and being sneaky

supposed to be for this faggot

Heavily armored conjurer or bust. If that's not an option than I'll take a warrior because tanking is a man's job

Thief is only the patrician choice when it's like fucking Garrett

Let's do this

Bros wtf I thought rogues were popular.

Thief if it's more of a restricted game. I don't like actually stealing from villagers and stuff in more open RPGs, but I like the agility, nimble type in combat.

Fighter/Warrior. I always try to go for Magic/Arcane Knight if possible.

I think theyre just badly made in most games.

rrrrrrr

rollieollie

cmon

Rollin'

Thiefs/rogues are too often built around "DUDE YOU CAN STEAL, LOCKPICK AND PICKPOCKET" gameplay that's supposed to give you an edge in hoarding money and equipment while not necessarily excelling in combat. Unfortunately, RPGs are designed to be beatable without the optional crime part, which means that thieves are easily quite useless since you don't ever run out of money or get stuck with inferior gear if you just play the game "normally", meaning that all the whole stealing thing is mostly waste of player's time.

i always used to play poison or status ailments mage of some sort.
but lately, ive been picking warrior / berserker with bleed type builds or just warrior with shield.

fighter because i like sword and board

I wasn't far off. In any case, rats and goblins should give you no trouble.
Let the emperor rest in peace.

Rol

thiefchads ww@

Magic knights

Bonus if the magic is achieved through some sort of technological/alchemical way rather than chanting or magic circles and I get a sick pet or summon.

Also rolling

Roll come on

The synergy if all 3, the thug mage.
Otherwise known as the Warlock.

Depends on the game but usually mage because they have the most diverse and fun combat. Too many RPGs make warriors into really boring normal attack dudes and too many RPGs make rogues into boring stealth characters. At least mages, even the boring ones, have a couple of flashy spells. For all its problems I think Dragon Age Inquisition did class design somewhat ok where every class had cool abilities to use.

Trying to boil down classes to fighter/magician/rogue is what is currently choking RPGs

>but you also want to fuck rocks,
>"Reman is mating with a pile of mud"
