Get on the floor
UNICLR Thread
lobby up? I'm passing out but I can probably get a game or two in
Hippie, Sai says he can host. Come fight me.
I've got a templobby up until Lamp and Hippie's fight is done. should be vee.
Pass is vee
It is now, I was just stuck in a ranked match.
Oh right, alright, someone else needs to make the regular one for tonight until this is dealt with then
>bouncing between 0 and 2 bars
Oh boy
Yeah
I only became interested in fighting games earlier this year but I finally bought a fightstick and picked up a copy of CLR
I hope I can become at least decent between now and Evo
is it the room run by ABrokenLamp?
Feel free to hop in the lobby whenever you'd like. How fast you develop really depends on the time spent and how that time is spent so you'll definitely see results here if you ask the right questions and make the effort.
Also, Enkidu's far away IW being able to get followed up with 66C is pretty satisfying.
Fuuuuuck me these are my first matches back in months and it fucking shows. Sorry for being so shit right now, I need practice
My copy only arrived today so I spent around 2 hours going through the Mission mode. I don't have the muscle memory or technical skills yet, so I was only able to get up to around 3-1 with each character.
>j.6[C] starter
>j.6[C] mid-combo
So this is the new Akatsuki stuff. Cool.
I need sleep. I'll def stay longer tomorrow night if the thread's up though. ggs.
3-1 is a decent start, any character you're considering picking up?
It's good to get beat up sometimes. Also, did you go by another name before? I think I'd remember a name like that.
Sounds better than me (took months to just get 1 BnB and months more after that to add other ones.
GGs broski. There may not be a thread but there is usually a lobby up same time on Friday nights.
Nah I've always been banks. I pop in and out randomly since I work nights and my free days are usually when the threads not up or active as much.
>That room name
I fucking approve
But I'm going to take a break and work out after that ft10
ggs. Overheads, as always, are for cheaters
Characters that stood out as either really cool looking or "felt natural/easy" were Nanase, Mika, Carmine, Londrekia, Yuzuriha, Merkava and Vatista.
You need to do more of icey's kind of bullshit with the constant cross-ups.
But maybe it's because I fought exactly that yesterday that I was ready for them
Bless this laser for punching through your parry
Mother of god someone help me how to meaty properly
So who won?
>felt easy
>Yuzu
>Vatista
Felt easy OR looked cool, user.
He also said really cool looking. Don't forget he only went up to their 3-1, his tune will most likely change when he tries their 4x missions.
If nothing else, 3-x is still some real basic shit.
4-x would be the better indicator of what you're expected to do with a character
Me
they all look cool (´・ω・`)
I agree, probably one of the reasons I haven't decided on a main.
2 - 10
I mean I would if I ever saw it win him a game. The problem is that all you need to do is block instead of trying to challenge that teleport stuff and then you just kill Yuzu once she tries to go for grabs with neutral jump.
If anything, it baffles my mind how you're able to constantly win neutral and the GRD war without ever once dashblocking. I want to say more teleports to keep you on your toes in neutral is the answer, but then you just rekka on reaction
I knew somebody would get it.
Also, man do Seth matches always having me trying to get a few steps ahead in what's gonna happening. Fun but challenging.
I think I'm getting used to this new thing
Even if Fast Fall hold back is messing with my muscle memory
That's the first time I played against cl-r seth and I don't know what's going on
Also what the heck my 22a GRD broke you
>The problem is that all you need to do is block instead of trying to challenge that teleport stuff and then you just kill Yuzu once she tries to go for grabs with neutral jump.
I for sure that you would say stop trying to backdash your 2C or something
>constantly win neutral and the GRD war without ever once dashblocking
I don't need to approach you to do that
I jumped, tried to at least
It's either your backdash, your rekka, or your DP, and I can't find a way to get you to sit the fuck still so it doesn't feel like I'm hanging myself for guessing wrong
I know nothing about this game but i'm kinda interested, but damn do I suck at fighting games.
Don't worry about sucking. It's about how you go about trying not to suck that matters. We all suck at starting out new things (most of us that is). The main thing to be concerned about is if your interest to improve is one that can be held long enough to get out of sucking.
>stop playing for a week
>suck again
time to practice
Damn, just one EX parry away
Unist was my first fighting game. I went from a complete scrub to somewhat competent.
Why does wagner have a visible cameltoe on the cover?
At least now I'm sure that it isn't me hosting that makes these things happen
Ahh and the lobby crashes. Do you want me to remake or do you wanna host hippie?
Did room explode?
Murder makes her horny
Is it difficult to learn? I've been playing Guilty gear xrd rev 2 and damn it takes a lot of practice and time to learn. Or more simple to learn like Mortal kombat 11?
Sorry if those are dumb comparisons, they are the only two fighting games i've played in years.
The shimmy wars never end
But at least I hurt a lot more
It's a lot simpler to grasp than GG in a sense that every character has the same motions so you won't be needing to completely re-memorize what normals gatling into each other and which button had that one special you wanted.
Part of me wants to stop every one of your damn poke outs, hence the DPs
Simpler than GG Xrd for the basic stuff and harder than MK11 in general which features some pretty odd combo design IMO.
ggs nerds
I can't believe it took this long for me to make the connection but Chaos just concentrating/reading his book while Azhi is right behind someone reminds me of V
Combos are a lot simpler than GG. As far as I know, all characters have a way to convert stray hits into the same basic combo anywhere on the screen, unlike GG where you need specific starters and weight adjustments
GGs
Forgot you had a Hyde
ggs
I haven't played or played against Lond in a few days and already forgot almost everything
I kinda fucked up so I guess I get to play tonight.
I have a hyde?
Netplay is definitely fucking up my FF~A timing. I can get it just fine in 4 frame matches, but I'm dropping it constantly in training mode
GGs broski.
I should really practice this seth combo from P2 side. Hands turn to jelly as soon as I cross myself up
I forgot about that dumb command dive
Seth can choose what side he teleports to, just always go to the left side of the screen.
Sometimes I want to keep the side I'm on
I haven't seen many Seth's in CLR but besides his new air dp what else did Seth get?
It's crazy that Sai the one who counters my 1k style the most. Not even hippie blocks this much.
He got a new fast-fall follow-up that has him blink right behind you. It has the same hit properties of a regular 214A but without the parry
