Sonic 06 is the only game I know of that fails as broadly and as hilariously as The Room. Just have a one or two things wrong with it isn't enough, it needs to be a trainwreck from start to finish.

Sonic 06 is the closest you can get in video game form. Competently made video games don't get bad reputations, but as a competently shot and edited film The Room still caught tons of negative attention just because the direction was a fucking mess. We can name video games that shit the bed in terms of narrative all we want, but that alone doesn't make a bad game. Bad games require incompetence in the gameplay itself.

TGT is actually well-written, has good fight scenes, and the paneling is decent. The only bad part is the art, which is still serviceable. When you read TGT you're aren't laughing at it, you're laughing with it, most of the time.

Heavy Rain has a certain level of competency to it that makes it almost too good to be a The Room. Indigo Prophecy and especially Beyond Two Souls fit the comparison to a T though. Dunno about Detroit since fuck if I'm ever playing another goddamn David Cage game again.

As much as I like to defend Drakengard, it is not a good game, it only uses one button, and the flying sections are lessons in rage.
